Historia
Shields and Salerno illuminate most brightly the last 56 years of Salinger’s life: a period that, until now, had remained completely dark to biographers. Provided unprecedented access to diaries, letters, legal records, and secret documents, listeners will feel they have, for the first time, gotten beyond Salinger’s meticulously built-up wall. The result is the definitive portrait of one of the most fascinating figures of the 20th century.

Fascinating story about recluse man
Revisado: 12-29-22
Salinger is a fascinating story about a famously recluse man. The story dives into Salingers life and attempts to connect his life’s events to the motives of his desperate need for privacy.
The story is built up by recounts from eye-witnesses and his own words through is literature and correspondence.
The only feeling that remains is; what would Salinger have thought about the book himself?
Salinger was very clear about demanding his privacy, so is this book a breach of that privacy? Or is this just part of the mystical creature Salinger has created of himself?

Historia
Stephen R. Covey's book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, has been a top seller for the simple reason that it ignores trends and pop psychology for proven principles of fairness, integrity, honesty, and human dignity. Celebrating its 15th year of helping people solve personal and professional problems, this special anniversary edition includes a new foreword and afterword written by Covey that explore whether the 7 Habits are still relevant and answer some of the most common questions he has received over the past 15 years.

The deeper layer of the 7 Habits
Revisado: 03-02-21
I immensely enjoyed this audio version of the 7 Habits. Particularly because the Audiobook is narrated by Dr. Covey himself, he was able to place additional emphasis where needed and deepen the explanation of some of his examples.
As someone who reads the 7 Habits as a personal curriculum, the Audiobook is a great professor to have.

Historia
Ruby Wax - comedian, writer and mental health campaigner - shows us how our minds can jeopardize our sanity. With her own periods of depression and now a Masters from Oxford in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy to draw from, she explains how our busy, chattering, self-critical thoughts drive us to anxiety and stress. If we are to break the cycle, we need to understand how our brains work, rewire our thinking and find calm in a frenetic world.

A lifeline for the frazzled
Revisado: 09-14-18
As a person who can get stuck in negativity and has a frazzled mind, this book as clarified a lot of issues for me and given me tools to get out of my head and back into reality. And Ruby Wax does it like nobody can with humor and a healthy amount of relativity.
