Historia
A runaway international bestseller, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry followed its unassuming hero on an incredible journey as he traveled the length of England on foot—a journey spurred by a simple letter from his old friend Queenie Hennessy, writing from a hospice to say goodbye. Harold believed that as long as he kept walking, Queenie would live. What he didn’t know was that his decision to walk had caused her both alarm and fear. How could she wait? What would she say? Forced to confront the past, Queenie realizes she must write again.

Sweet story of unrequited love
Revisado: 02-08-16
That was not in the least sad or depressing. Rachel Joyce has written a sensitive, poignant little novel here, and Celia Imrie did a fabulous job with the narration.

Excellent version of a great classic
Revisado: 01-14-16
I have read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe at least 10 times. This was my first audio version of the book and it was excellent. The story can't be beaten, but Michal York was an amazing narrator who absolutely did C.S. Lewis's wonderful novel justice. I highly recommend this recording.

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Revisado: 03-15-13
Domenica Ruta rose above a troubled, scary childhood, and although she probably carries a lot of baggage, it looks like she turned out ALL RIGHT! She is a fantastic narrator and could have a career doing that if she wanted to, Very clear, strong voice with humor. This was a good story very well told.

I've read/listened to all of Kate Morton's books. Sheer entertainment. Good plotting, and Caroline Lee is an excellent narrator. This book had an unexpected twist that I really did not see coming. Very enjoyable -- great book for walks or a long drive.

Revisado: 08-24-12
And neither does Will Patton as Dave Robichaux and the lovable Cletus Purcell. This is probably my fifth Burke audio book and each time I expect the books can't get better or might get repetitive and they just don't. They do get better and just as usual, I did not want the book to end!

Rip-off of The Stand but I listened to every word.
Revisado: 08-08-12
I kept thinking, "is Steven King annoyed?" because I do think the book was very like The Stand, but I listened to the whole thing in spite of the sometimes irritating narrator. He had a lot of voices to do, but when he had to express emotion, he was not that great. His idea of a woman's voice crying . . . Not good. But it's a long book, good value for the money and the apocalyptic story came together well in the end. Although, I kept thinking, with all the bottled water in this world . . . surely there's enough of that to last for quite a long time!

Parts of this book are very hard to listen to because the events are likely to make you very uncomfortable, but it's a good story, albeit sad in parts but ultimately uplifting and redemptive. Highly recommend.
