Not as good as Five Presidents

We listened to Five Presidents by Clint Hill which provides excellent insight into american history from an insider perspective. (It is now required reading for all my high schoolers.)
This book however offered much less historical insight and much more cursing, which I frankly did not enjoy. If you are a Jackie fan, you may appreciate much of the minutia. He was clearly very emotionally attached to her.
I returned it.
But don't miss Five Presidents!

Not well presented, not for young audiences

Because of the nature of the book, heading, sub headings, quotes, sidebars - the reading is stilted and disconnected. He isn't the best audio presenter either.
As far as content goes - I purchased this to listen with my school age children. More talk about sex than I wanted them to listen to. We stopped at the chapter where he begins describing how to persuade someone to have sex with you.
While I am sure there is much to glean from the book, the audio resource hasn't been the best.

Poor Recording- difficult to listen to

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Story well performed, creative and imaginative.
However, the volume must be continually adjusted in order to listen. I have never returned an audible book, but I will return this one. It's a shame, my children really enjoyed this. Story on caliber with Leonard Bernsteins Peter and the Wolf.

After having lived in the Netherlands for several years, I was delighted to enjoy this authentic book with my children. A thoughtful, moving story that will cause you to pause and think and rejoice without sappy manipulation so common in contemporary children's literature. Beautiful themes of compassion, duty, forgiveness. Excellently presented. First rate all around.
