Historia
Said to be the world's longest poem, Mahabharata was originally composed in 100,000 Sanskrit verses by the ancient Indian sage Vyasa. Revered as a sacred text within Hinduism, it contains the great spiritual teaching Bhagavad-gita. Krishna Dharma has condensed the epic into a fast paced novel that fully retains the majestic mood of the original. A powerful and moving tale, it recounts the history of the five heroic Pandava brothers, sons of the Emperor Pandu.

Beautiful rendition of a true epic
Revisado: 03-07-19
Every Hindu grows up with stories from the Mahabarat, this is an authentic and accurate translation that refreshes the memory.
The depth of this Magnus Opus, is truly immense. A reading of this provides much of the needed context to understand the Hindu traditions.
The translator and the narrator have done a fantastic job in presenting the tale for English speaking audiences. As the story runs it's course it's difficult to not be overwhelmed by the emotions. During the two months it took me to complete, I could find myself happy on certain days and agast on others.
I've definitely learnt some principles for my life and will revisit this in a few years for a refresher and for bedtime tales for my children.

Promising start but devolves into ramblings at the end
Revisado: 09-14-18
This book attempts to tackle a very important issue that the society will likely face in the next few generations.
The start is very interesting, the explanation of how markets work and a behind the scenes tour of the online advertising business are great. It’s all downhill afterwards, the story and examples in the last couple of chapters devolves in ramblings. Synthetic intellect would undoubtedly do a better job of the ending in the future.

Historia
Amazon, Apple, Facebook, and Google are the four most influential companies on the planet. Just about everyone thinks they know how they got there. Just about everyone is wrong. For all that's been written about the Four over the last two decades, no one has captured their power and staggering success as insightfully as Scott Galloway. Instead of buying the myths these companies broadcast, Galloway asks fundamental questions.

Sour grapes for the Author
Revisado: 06-20-18
A shame, This could be a very interesting and complex topic to discuss.
The Author, an academic failed miserably at taking on one of these companies with his ideas. Still trying to justify how his ideas were superior despite their miserable failure.
I’d recommend skipping this one. There’s no doubt that there is a lot of ‘evil’ in the big corporations but this doesn’t either explain why or offer alternatives. This is more of a lament, of how the Authors ideas are so much better without facts to back it up.

Go ahead, be skeptical about big data. The author was - at first. When the term "big data" first came on the scene, best-selling author Tom Davenport ( Competing on Analytics, Analytics at Work) thought it was just another example of technology hype. But his research in the years that followed changed his mind. Now, in clear, conversational language, Davenport explains what big data means - and why everyone in business needs to know about it.

This isn’t a great book for anyone who plans to put into practice Big Data.
The target audience seem to be senior managers or the like.

Historia
Most of us have a limited understanding of the powerful role economics has played in shaping human civilization. This makes economic history - the study of how civilizations structured their environments to provide food, shelter, and material goods - a vital lens through which to think about how we arrived at our present, globalized moment. Designed to fill a long-empty gap in how we think about modern history, these 48 lectures are a comprehensive journey through more than 600 years of economic history.

Doesn't really provide any insight that you can take at the end of this dull and boring listen.
