Naive Protagonist

I know its not popular to root for the 'bad guys' but I really tried and I don't like the protagonist Mercy she is too nosy and naive at the same time to be credible in this series with a man like Gabriel but after reading the Wolfe Hotel Series I realize this is how this author portrays her female characters
