Super dark read, but captivating

All the emotions felt while listening to this book. You get enveloped with the characters and can visualize each intense moment. Its a great listening, but be prepared for some very dark moments that hit your heart hard.

I started with book 1, immediately had to buy book 2 and then 3. 4 is pre ordered! Book 3 had me fully invested in the characters stories and I actually cried when Yak and Summer had to deal with a death. I loved that it kept my attention throughout all the books.

I started with Girl forgotten and was enthralled by that story, decided to try another one. This one didn't keep my attention unfortunately. I stuck it out and listened to most of it on my 10 hour flight.

Wowza

I had to rewind at some points just to relisten, and understand how it played a roll in the story. After finishing the book, it made more sense how it was written. The characters are telling their side of the story in different sections of the book in "now" or 11 years ago. This story was captivating and performed very well. The ending was a total surprise!

Really wanted to love it

I wanted to love this book. For me, it was really hard to follow at first and it didn't keep my attention. It did pick up for me toward the end however.

Loved it, having a hard time waiting for book 2

I had a hard time getting connected for a couple of chapters at first. But once we got through the introduction of characters, I could NOT stop listening. I played the book in my ear buds while working and out running errands just to keep listening. I love listening to the Morbid podcast and Alaina did not disappoint with this book! Can't wait until the next book is available, the cliffhanger was intense.

Romantic and funny

Couldn't get into the story

I had high hopes as I usually love Nora books. The narrators voice is nice, but I just couldn't get into this book at all.
