by his own account, the man who wrote this book clearly has family trauma amd wished that his mom hadnt divorced his dad and is angry that the governmemt provided means for his mom to able to sirvive without his dad, even tho he was an alcoholic and probably narcicist. now the author has power and hides his anger towards independent women and machismo behind the idea of family first, and wants to go back to simpler times when women literally could not divorce men due to financial reasons ams lack of liberties. so sad that this author has gained such influence considering he is obviously doing everything he can out of mommy issues. its the parent that stays that gets all the kids' anger. also, saying that woke ppl are not "real americans" shows his racism. he even calls harvard graduates and "dog moms" not real americans. so glad that generation of anti woke racist homophobic.white supremacists is a dying breed. more review to come

i might take his work more seriously if it wasnt literally propaganda and written to support Trumps current actions. must have been done in a hurry bc they forgot to edit the narrator - very unprofessional. also if Trump didnt lead the Jan 6th insurrection, why did he pardon police killers. red flag - he is defending evertything Trump and Musk do blindly, including leave the WHO. that tells me he is being paid by Trump to justify leaving the WHO. also Beck thinks that 18 unarmed americans being killed by police is no big deal. and that womens reproductive rights are only to have kids. so everyone should have freedom except women? and blacks? also 99% of ppl dont support the whole pronoun thing nor racist math so thats just sensationalism. Also he is very Biased, talks about Biden being old and forgetful, and that trans ppl walk around in lockerrooms, when Trump literally bragged about walking around locker rooms when he owned Teen USA etc. trump is a criminal, trump and Musk ARE the ruling elite. not sure why he thinks Trump and Musk are any less ruling elite than anybody else. very Biased and fake news

not phrases just vocab

there are some slang expressions and useful phrases but mostly just vocabs for beginner and intermediate levels. misnamed! at the advanced level its not so useful. also focuses mostly on slang and usage from spain, not other countries. uses masculine form for everything altho narrator is female, and alternated btw formal and informal usage without explanation

pls make more audiobooks like this but for other Spanish speaking counties . but with more content and less filler/fluff/review. also have some female versions of the adjectives, not just male!!

good but machista

has some good content but 2 problems: 1. the narrator does not pronounce the spanish words clearly. her accent is decent but doesnt stress some syllables correctly and she says the words too softly and you have to really make an effort to hear the word clearly when she repeats it as an example. kinda frustrating when the whole point is to learn the word. 2-clearly written by a machista man. there are several examples in a row that sound pretty derogatory toward women as if he couldnt find a different example: i dumped my gf bc she didnt put out, dont talk to those girls they wont sleep with you, why are you with her she is ugly, and finally, I dumped my gf bc she didnt give me head. see a pattern? too much. also very annoying when the narrator is female but only the male version of an adjective is given. e.g. cachondo. guess what, half or even more of your listeners are probably women! how about some courtesy and less rapey examples!!

only 1 hour of construction spanish

half the book is beginner convo spanish. only 1 hour is actual construction spanish and is very limited. why so stingy with the actual content? biggest limitation tho is that all the verbs are conjugated for usted which is very impractical. tú is used way more in the construction world unless you live in colombia! also this audiobook is painful to listen to because the gringa speaker butchers all the spanish pronounciations and serves absolutely no purpose....and lastly both speakera are women but all the adjectivea are said in male form. SMH.

Me gustó este libro pero decir que hay gente que son zombies narcisista es un poco inmaduro y no profesional . Ellos son seres humanos también no son animales ni muertos. un psicólogo no diría que narcisistas son zombies

lots of errors, not for advanced learners

with 200 expressions and idioms i thought i could learn something new but there was only a handful of new ones which I think are mostly only used in spain. there is a lot lf repetition and for an advanced learner it was painfully slow so I listed on 1.9 speed and entertained myself by writing down all the errors, most od which have to do with gender, imperativr tense, and pronounciation. this author is clearly intermediate and doesnt know how to put proper stress on proper vowels, no to pronounce u: she says "sigwe" when trying to say sigue etc etc. but the most glaring are the errors, although few, in gender (using la instead of el/lo etc) and verb conjugation: instead of "no vayas" she says "no ve" and instead of "dale" she says "darle". i commend her for writing a book about spanish when she is intermediate level and didnt bother to hire a proofreader. if you want a book that is truly for advanced learners search for megusta spanish and/or Mari Marina books
