Sad but great book!
Revisado: 06-03-22
As a Family Services worker who works one on one with children in foster care this story really pulled my heart strings. It’s really heartbreaking some of the things the social workers said and did. It’s so amazing though to hear the growth and happiness that happened in the end

Historia
In 1974, Dennis Lynn Rader stalked and murdered a family of four in Wichita, Kansas. Since adolescence, he had read about serial killers and imagined becoming one. Soon after killing the family, he murdered a young woman and then another, until he had 10 victims. He named himself “B.T.K.” (bind, torture, kill) and wrote notes that terrorized the city. He remained on the loose for 30 years.

Not horrible but could be better.
Revisado: 05-16-22
I am very intrigued by BTK and was dying to listen to this book. Ultimately it’s not bad but could be better, some parts were a bit confusing and hard to follow along. I also was hoping for more on a psychological perspective of why he committed these murders but do like how it explains from his perspective on things.

Loved it!

I have listened to many books on audible and this is by far one of my favorites. Definitely through me for a loop and the beginning was a little slow but overall it was definitely a good listen.

Historia
Jon Frederick spent his adolescence protecting his mentally ill brother and worrying about his parents' farm as it headed toward bankruptcy. So when Mandy Baker, the alluring new girl in town, pursued him, he was easily enamored. But on the day he ended their tryst, Mandy vanished. There is no doubt in the small Minnesota town of Pierz that the flirtatious girl is dead, and there is little doubt that Jon got away with murder.

Love! Great listen
Revisado: 11-04-21
I have been wanting to read this book since Frank presented to my Psychology class a few years back and when I seen it on audible I was ecstatic since I don’t have much time to read with college. But I loved the story and how the character I thought was guilty didn’t end up being the guilty one. Highly suggest to people it’s a great book and I can’t wait to listen to the rest.
