Historia
Seventeen-year-old Evan Panos doesn't know where he fits in. His strict immigrant Greek mother refuses to see him as anything but a disappointment. His quiet, workaholic father is a staunch believer in avoiding any kind of conflict. And his best friend, Henry, has somehow become distractingly attractive over the summer.

I couldn't put it down (or whatever the audio book version of that phrase is) until I finished it. There is no question what so ever that I'll read this again!

Historia
Georgia feels loveless - in the romantic sense, anyway. She’s 18, never been in a relationship, or even had a crush on a single person in her whole life. She thinks she's an anomaly, people call her weird and she feels a little broken. But she still adores romance - weddings, fan fiction and happily ever afters. After a disastrous summer, Georgia is now at university, hundreds of miles from home. She is more determined than ever to find love - and her annoying roommate, Rooney, is a bit of a love expert, so perhaps she can help.

Great - though a bit depressing
Revisado: 07-17-21
Honestly, through most of the book I felt like someone had written down my own story. Not that I went to college in Britain, but the feeling and the reasoning was definitely familiar.
Which is why I was a bit disappointed that the book kept referring to the identity as something unwanted and sad - "this is who I am and there's nothing we can do about that".
I grew up loving romance as well (still do) and yes, that made the decision to embrace the term aromantic a bit harder, but very soon after that came the great relief that I didn't have to go on dates anymore, that I was allowed to grow old surrounded by friends and a couple of cats, instead of having to find someone specific to marry.
I know that this might be a biographical book, and that there are aros out there struggling with wanting romance - but this lack of happiness with the identity makes it seem like aces and aros should be pitied - which is exactly one of the stereotypes we're fighting against.
In conclusion: I loved reading a story that so accurately describes what it's like to be aroace and not know it. But I really didn't appreciate the book making me feel bad about my identity. Society already tries to do that.

Blah...
Revisado: 07-14-20
This is only worth buying to get 5 books for the price of 1. Nothing more.
The stories were as unoriginal as they come, with 4 out of 6 working in the same field, if not for the same company, meaning the stories were practically identical.
Also, the story was basically a B-version of The Phoenix Club by CJ Bishop, now with mpreg...
Disappointing to say the least...

Historia
This is a story about two teens falling in love over a summer that throws everything possible to keep them apart. Max: Chill. Sports. Gay and not a big deal. And a secret: An encounter with an older kid that makes it hard to breathe, one that he doesn't want to think about, ever. Jordan: The opposite of chill. Poetry. His "wives" and the Chandler Mall. Never been kissed and searching for Mr. Right, who probably won't like him anyway. And a secret: A spiraling out of control mother, and the knowledge that he's the only one who can keep the family from falling apart.

A heartwarming book - the reading? Not so much.
Revisado: 03-07-20
I wish the whole thing had been read by Anthony Ray Perez. Both because he has a nice voice, because Joel Froomkin's voice does a lot of unnecessary over-the-top exaggerations, and because I like it better when you feel like you know the voices of the characters. This wasn't really possible here, since both actors effectively read for both characters.
