Historia
On the evening of November 24, 1971, D. B. Cooper hijacked Flight 305—Portland to Seattle—with a fake bomb, collected a ransom of $200,000, and then parachuted from the rear of the plane, disappearing into the night...and into history. Fifty years later, Agent Pendergast takes on a bizarre and gruesome case: in the ghost-haunted city of Savannah, Georgia, bodies are found with no blood left in their veins—sowing panic and reviving whispered tales of the infamous Savannah Vampire.

Needs a different narrator
Revisado: 01-11-22
The story is good, but the new narrator does not do the book justice like Rene Auberjonois used to. William DeMeritt has a nice voice, but his accents are terrible, especially for Pendergast and Constance.

Terrible Narration

Not sure who thought these two narrators would add to this audio book but they were wrong. I think I will need to switch to the Kindle version.

City of Fallen Angels take up where City of Glass left off. Bad Narration
Revisado: 01-08-14
How did the narrator detract from the book?
It is almost too painful to listen to. Using the kindle edition.
They should have stuck with one of the first two narrators.

There, the remains of a mysterious plane were discovered during a routine educational expedition. The plane seems to be a Russian spy plane, and the Russian government secretly revealed to the U.S. president that a lot of very dangerous anthrax may be on board.

Need a better narrator
Revisado: 11-15-07
The story is good, but the narrator is not. I could also do without the additional sound effects. Paul Michael or Scott Brick should be narrating this book.

Historia
Return to James Lee Burke's "timeless, parallel universe" with detective Dave Robicheaux, as he investigates the murders of two women, tries to prove one man's innocence, and faces an enemy unlike any he has ever known. Gothic, dense, brutal, touching, and always compelling, Jolie Blon's Bounce is classic storytelling from a writer who has been dubbed "the Faulkner of crime fiction."

I am enjoying the story, but I am having a hard time understanding what the narrator is saying. I often have to rewind and replay. Mark Hammer's voice is very monotone and his speech is very hard to understand.

Not a good narrator.
Revisado: 08-26-03
While Peter Boyle is a good actor, he is not a good narrator. He is hard to understand at times. Also, the story line is not as well developed as "The Protector".
