Historia
For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare--poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a US Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force tactical air controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events.

Just finished this book for my first time.. im about to start it right back up. i learned about David Goggins through his repeated sit downs on The Joe Rogan Experience. I would sit in my car after getting home for 30+ extra minutes just to finish the episode to hear him uninterrupted. David has a way of captivating people with that same fucked up mentality of "this is never enough.". Since listening to his numerous JRE sit downs and now his book, ive gotten a handful of friends interested and a few also bought this book. ive started to take action, little by little, by just focusing on his challenges between the chapters and applying them to my situations. i reccomend that not just anyone, but the person who feels like all hope is lost, pick up this book and try to stay in your old ways. more than likely, its not gonna happen. thank you david, for kicking me right in the soul, and making me realize its time to put in the work. you'll hear about me one day, im sure of it. look out for Scott Marraffa, the 2nd person to do the Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser Challenge of lifting 1 Million Killograms in 24 Hours on January 29th, 2020, for my 25th birthday that is about 1 year and change away from today.

Historia
Jay Gironimi (rhymes with astronomy) is a man who can't eat and can't breathe. He wrote a book about how that's working out for him. Can't Eat, Can't Breathe and Other Ways Cystic Fibrosis Has F#$%*d Me is not an inspirational story of triumph over adversity. But if you like stories about poop and mucus, it just might be the audiobook for you.

So close to home!
Revisado: 12-17-15
This book was basically me telling me about my life just in a different voice, with a different name, and with different experiences. Also being held hostage by my lungs everyday of my life, I found that there were a ton of feelings that Jay and I had in common. What an amazing representation of just how many times I want to say "fuck it, or fuck them" when dealing with certain aspects of my CF. I've recommended this book to just about everyone I know over social media and face to face. I've done so because like Jay had mentioned, I am also horrible at expressing my feelings towards this Swamp Thing of a disease in a healthy way with friends and family. This book could do a much better job than me just bitching about my day with Shit-stic Fibrosis. Thank you Jay.
