A lot of mystery books and shows I guess the end too soon. This one really had me and because of that I loved it. It's nice to have Watson, Holmes and Lucy involved. It seems Watson is more like a father to Lucy. I enjoyed the narrator he did a great job and is easy to understand. I will be listening to other Sherlock Holmes and Lucy James books. I received this book free and am giving my own opinion/review on it. Thank you this was a very pleasant listen.

Ever hear of a reaper with a pet turtle?

Piper Shaw works the Netherworld Paranormal Police Department as a retriever. She's tough, an immortal and likes to work alone. Along comes a Reaper that is assigned to be her partner. At first she resents this and then decides there are some advantages to having him as a partner. Eventually with attacks against the PPD thinning out their ranks they need more officers and someone has to take them under their wing. Piper is still getting used to her partner and now they are forcing her to work/train newbies. For someone that doesn't call for backup until the last resort, she's not happy with this at all. Reaper the reaper has a pet turtle he talks to which seems quite odd to piper. But this turtle isn't,t any ordinary turtle.
I hadn't heard this narrator before and I found I actually liked her. I have also listened to The Las Vegas PPD series and I think I like. this one better.

opposites attract

I received this free from the author. At first when I started it I wasn't sure I would like it, but as I continued to listen I really liked it. The two characters are as opposite as two people can be. They have no choice now but to work together and they start watching out for each other. Clara and Damien start equalizing each other out to complete their missions. If you liked the Beaufont series of Sarah's I am sure you will like this one too. I also liked the narrators voice in this story. Try it I am sure you will enjoy it as much as I did. I am now on to Book 2.

Valerie as an enforcer

I enjoyed learning more of what Valerie went on to do after leaving the Bad Company. She has her own ship and crew. The crew is loyal to her. They meet many aliens and make friends and enemies. The characters are a hoot at times and this series kept me interested and not wanting to stop. The narrator did a fine job with the story. This was a nice addition to the Kurtherian Universe.

A Prophecy?

Red is kidnapped. Jake finds out about a prophecy in which he can go either way. An old friend comes to help and loses everything they had. Dani gets a surprise and new training. Everything seems to be changing for everyone, whether it's good or bad is debatable. We find out a little of Shemrazul's past history and with whom he has connections. What is Wyvern's plans for Jake? Maddox meets someone from his past. Izzy calls on the Unicorns for help and finds an old friend avoiding her.
There have been many comments about the new Narrator. Yes we'd rather have the original narrator but that is not going to happen. It did take me between 1/4 to 1/3 of the book to get use to the new narrator. There are some voices like Dani's that still doesn't seem right. But above all I was glad to be able to finally have the audible version to listen to.

Surprise Ending

Cannot get into this narrator. This book wraps up some story lines and leaves some open. At times with the back and forth I was confused where they were. I think a little was left out that should have been included to expand on some of the arcs.I did enjoy the story though. I just can't believe that they actually spent 30 minutes on authors notes and giggling.

The new Michael

Michael is back and he has to contend to many changes, including his own. As he heads East he will collect some followers. He will also leave a path of destruction. Death is now his last resort but people just don't realize they are bringing this destruction upon themselves.

This author is a great narrator.

This author is a great narrator and I don't think anyone else could do this justice. I listen in bed and a few times I hoped I didn't wake my hubby when I started to chuckle. Good stories about Ian's team trying to keep Las Vegas magicals under control and keeping the non magicals safe. I don't know where he gets these characters from. The stories are snarky and many sexual related jokes (so beware if that is not your cup of tea). It really is an enjoyable listen and so many hours of entertainment for 1 credit is worth it. I do wish we knew more about the council Ian is always answering to. It seems like they want him to always do a fantastic job while withholding information that his team could use. Disclosure I received this book set from the author for an honest review. (I already had the kindle books for this series but had not gotten to them yet.) So glad I didn't cause his voice was probably what made this so enjoyable.

Hannah and friends on quest to save the world

Hannah and her friends travel on the airship that Gregory's father designed and built. Gregory is the only one that can fly it and fix anything on it. On their way to their destination they get involved in solving a kidnapping and some of her crew has been attacked and locked up, because the village believes they have something to do with the kidnapping. Don't want to give out any spoilers so you'll have to read this episode. It was hard for me to put down. The narrator does a great job.

Sexual Innuendos Galore A Riot and a half

First off if you get offended easily, don't care for sexual innuendos, and think everything has to be politically correct. This book is not for you. For the rest of hang on for a laugh out loud and chuckles most of the way. Captain Har is a human that gets assigned a ship with all androids except for one robot that is the engineer. He treats them all as if they were human. The androids each have their own peculiarities and even the robot has a personality. The team seems to get in sticky spots and somehow still come out ahead. I was surprised that the author also narrated the book. He did a fantastic job at it. Some authors write great books but their voice is a turnoff. Logsdon does a great job with different voices and there is one that sounds like "Worf". Disclaimer: I received this copy free from the author and promised a honest review. I really liked this series and am grateful that I got such great listen for free. Thankyou for writing and narrating such a fun listen.
