Late 21st-century Earth is overcrowded, her natural resources dwindling rapidly. World governments and greedy mega corporations are forced to work together toward a solution. A crew of ten humans are sent to Mars aboard Hyperion I to locate a suitable site and establish the first colony. After a months-long flight to the red planet, just as they are about to descend to the surface, problems arise. A careless accident kills a crew member, damages the ship, forcing the others to launch early. And that's just the beginning of their troubles.

all the voices are stellar except the actual narration voice. when he's reading the story etc.. the narration part. it's sooo annoying omg. every word at the end of every sentence is extended and emphasized. it's so annoying I couldn't listen. I wish I could return it. loved the story but that too much

I've listen to A LOT of LitRPG. this one just hit me right from the beginning.. nothing absolutely groundbreaking, but different and fresh enough to keep me interested. Of course, Travis Baldree knocks it out of the park. Def. worth a credit if you have one sitting around wondering what to pick up. also.. extremely non-story content related spoiler.

Cat main character? Count me in.
It did not disappoint. Really inventive story, the "science" etc that made it all possible wasn't outlanding. Really fun and interesting story. I haven't come across a book like it yet. very cool story and character development. Narration was fantastic. Really have no complaints at all. If you like space sci-fi and want a really fresh take, give it a shot!

What can I say? I'm in love with this series.
I'm a Supernatural Horror fanatic. Monsters, ghosts, phantoms, interdementional demons,.. you name it. I love it.
I picked up this series on a whim. read a couple reviews and saw the omnibus. Was it a good value? 1000% in retrospect i would have been absolutely satisfied with buying all 6 books with credits. hands down.
Sarah Clancy brings the characters to life. Big time. Personalities, history, tendancies, likes dislikes, moods.. she paints the pictures. This is a series where you really get attached to the characters, which could mean attached to loving them, or hating them. but attached. Including, and especially, Buck. "The goodest boy of all good boys."
John Pirhalla is masterful in his delivery. Absolutely does great with various male and female voices, and quite a lot of them. Has a great range without having to make any sound just odd because he "ran out of voices". As a matter of fact he even nails a pretty tough accent in book 6. I rewound more than a few times just to hear Pirhalla's delivery on some random line. just stuff that made me smile. he's clearly a vocal artist.
The writing is done well, Friends in college called me "the grammar hammer" and it sticks with me to this day. I didnt catch a lot of odd words thrown in, try hard thesaurus stuff out of place, repeated phrases. Nothing odd really popped out at me as far as writing.
As far as content. Sarah paints a nice dark overall mood across, with plenty of humor and oddball things thrown in without getting ridiculous, i mean these are younger people/teenagers so they're bound to be silly at times, and she blends it in well. Laugh out loud a few times even. The supernatural aspects are eerie, spooke, scary, gross, haunting, startling, creative, big, small, horrific. i mean she checks off a lot of boxes in here. Each of the 6 books builds upon the previous, and with always something new. a new take on the adventure with new challenges and new events. The leviathan was great as it changes pace on the type of location much of it takes place in. none of the books felt like there was too much time taken in between where it felt disjointed, or felt forced like she had to put something out. just a great written plot and story.
I really can't say enough, in love with these books. I think the characters really shine. She paints them so well that you can empathize with all of the main characters and step into their shoes.
pick up the omnibus for a credit, it's a steal and you won't be sorry.
*Im leaving this review on each installment because im not big on talking about plot points in my review, im not giving a synopsis. and this review absolutely fits for each book, sarah clancy is masterful and john pirhalla delivers. in. each. one. A+

Working at a dead-end retail job in the middle of nowhere can be hard. The long hours. The helpless customers. The enormous eldritch horror living deep below the building. As the only full-time employee at the 24 hour gas station at the edge of town, Jack has pretty much seen it all. From the synopsis, it was kinda hard for me to imagine what this could be all about.... and yeah.. how can you sum this up? Quirky, creative. fun. surprising. always something out of left field happening, but its just so much fun. and dark. and scary. Mr. Creepypasta knocks it out of the park with his performance. its sci-fi, horror, comedy, suspense.. lovecraftian aspects.. absolutely worth a credit.

A modern ice age has all but stamped out human civilization and left the Earth nearly uninhabitable. For Ira Hartman and the dysfunctional band of survivors that surround her, all that’s left of the old world are ghosts trapped beneath the still forming ice sheets. Living in retrofitted tunnels beneath Riverside, California, scrounging for food, supplies, and desperately trying not to kill each other, things could be worse; but when an accident causes the generators powering their shelter’s heating system to be destroyed, hope seems to have run out.

lovecraft meets global apocalypse in the best way!
Revisado: 07-07-20
Starts off with a bang! draws you right in and you're in the rabbit hole.. then the storyline begins.. character building and interactions are fun, and feel just right. without the first chapter, youd think it was your average climate apocalypse kind of thing.. and slowly.. the cosmic horror is threaded in. the description of the cosmic horror landscapes and creatures really give you a great vision of what the author intended and lets your imagination run. story was complete and didnt leave me hanging. overall very enjoyable experience. If you are into horror, lovecraft, dark fantasy this could be a winner for you. i will definintely listen a few times more...... "bye leena it was so nice talking to you...."
