This book is stressing me out! I’m at the unmasking part and I’m mad! 5 stars!

Love the narrator too. Your Ozzie (is that how you spell it?) narrators are always great but this one somehow gets and keeps my sympathy.

Great job. I’m angry!

Great narration, fun story

What a great, fun, well written story and quick insight into the Mexican middle class. Brought back so many memories of when I used to read obsessively in Spanish. Cortázar! And a “sobretodo” is a raincoat! Brilliant.

The narrator is lovely and extremely talented. Sings, acts, and I might be in love with her.

The Narrator Cannot Read

The narrator reads at a 5th-grade level: he doesn't flow and often sounds like he's seeing the text for the first time. Since the narrator is the author, and the topic is mental models (and, by extension, how to avoid incorrect thinking due to mistakes in modeling)... the whole thing is dreary and depressing. Please hire a professional narrator and release this again. As is, it's a very difficult listen. And the contents are no better: "humans can do thought experiments" (yay!), "second-order effects must be considered" (yeah!)... it's rare to listen to a book in this field without learning something novel, but Mr. Parrish manages to provide a book that is almost entirely lacking in merit.

The Boring Book We Need

Sam Harris follows a rich tradition of naysayers and debunkers and offers a secular vision of spiritual, um, stuff. It’s pretty cool but OMG this man is boring. Why he decided to read his own book — 10x’ing the boring in the process — is beyond me. Thank you for this book, which can be listened to equally well awake and asleep.
