In 1893, financial panic imperils the settlement homesteaded by Abraham and Elizabeth Byers. This is a fascinating story about an idealistic bunch of people trying to create a cooperative community in Michigan in the 1890’s. Potentially dry history comes alive through Maryka Biaggio’s imagination and Stuart Howard’s vivid interpretations of the characters! Many echoes that resonate with today’s world. A good reminder that, no matter how pure their ideals may be, human frailty will always bring down a utopian society. Stuart howard's performance makes this a really good listen!
