History of Greece review
Revisado: 11-11-21
Very great audiobook on the history of Greece. I wish this was around when I was in school doing history reports on different countries. It is very thorough but not overwhelming with information. Very easy to follow along. I love history and listen to these while I work. 10/10 would recommend if you just love history or Greece.

Historia
Classical Greece is a period of only 200 years, but it is filled with exciting events that shaped the political thought of modern Western civilization. In these 200 years, the idea of democracy was born and developed, although their concept of democracy was much different than in modern times. Through the development of the polis, the ancient Greek society developed into its recognizable form of those with political rights and those without them.

This is one of my favorite time periods. Captivating History did a great job telling the story. I learned. A ton about this era. Narration is great, reminds me of the hold history videos we would watch in school, so there was nostalgia there. Again great job explaining everything and making it easy to understand

Historia
Listen to the exciting things that happened during the Middle Kingdom of ancient Egypt. Did you know that in this period, Osiris became the main god of the popular religion? His cult was respected by the pharaohs of the Eleventh Dynasty, but it quickly spread throughout Egypt, and ordinary people became his followers. The Middle Kingdom is a short period in Egypt’s history, but it is important because it was a period of political unity and prosperity. Because of that, it is sometimes referred to as the Golden Age of Egypt.

This audiobook was a little easier to follow than the old kingdom. Still it was told very well. It seems as though it was the same narrator which I really enjoyed. Would listen to it again. These audiobooks from captivating history do a great job explaining a ton of information. I usually listen to these while I work and it makes the day fly by. Keep making more!

Historia
The Egyptian pyramids are some of the greatest building feats ever achieved. At a time when the rest of the world was in the Bronze Age, living in small villages sustained by subsistence farming, the Egyptians built the pyramids. It is mind-boggling to think they did this when mankind had not yet invented iron or the wheel. They did this when the only tools workmen had were made from either bronze, which had to be constantly re-sharpened, or stone or wood. It’s truly remarkable.

Thought this was a good audiobook. The narrator reminded me of the historical videos they used to show us during school. That Made it easy to follow. There was a ton of information which was great but some of the names got confusing so had to go back a couple times. Overall it was great!

Historia
If you want to discover the captivating history of the Underground Railroad, then pay attention...The Underground Railroad wasn’t underground. Nor was it a railroad. It was, however, an awe-inspiring piece of history, and one that speaks of hope even today. Two hundred years ago, slavery had the Southern United States firmly in its evil grip. The only hope that these enslaved people had of escaping their brutal fates was the Underground Railroad. This fabled network delivered tens of thousands of escaped slaves all the way across the northern United States and into Canada.

Great audiobook
Revisado: 10-19-21
This was my first audiobook from captivating history and I was very surprised! Everything about this book was great. It does a great job explaining the history of slavery around the world and then diving into slavery here in the United States. It was fascinating to hear about all of the stories from the the people involved in the Underground Railroad. I would love to see more books from Captivating History on some of the individuals from the Underground Railroad. 10/10 would recommend.
