Amazing story
Revisado: 11-18-24
The story was so well written and relatable. It brings you back to your high school days and the years after you can relate to these characters like they’re your own friends and twist at the end is jaw dropping. Highly recommended.

The narrator was fine but the story was drawn out and predictable. The housemaid series should end. It’s not fun anymore.

Story was decent but the narrators ugh
Revisado: 10-15-23
I liked the story fine, I guessed the ending a quarter of the way through. The narrators were so bad they hurt my ears. I won’t listen to another book they narrate ever.

Historia
In the middle of the night, in a house on a quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders silently murder Luke Ellis' parents and load him into a black SUV. The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there's no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents - telekinesis and telepathy - who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris, and 10-year-old Avery Dixon.

Revisado: 08-15-23
Unless you’re a deranged liberal who wants to hear 20 hours of king praising Hillary Clinton and whining about trump, skip this one because it’s basically a mix of a couple Stephen king stories tied up in political rhetoric. I keep swearing that I’m done with king then I go back but I’m constantly disappointed. This is truly the last one

Historia
Cassie McDowell’s life in 1980s Minnesota seems perfectly wholesome. She lives on a farm, loves school, and has a crush on the nicest boy in class. Yes, there are her parents’ strange parties and their parade of deviant guests, but she’s grown accustomed to them. All that changes when someone comes hunting in Lilydale. One by one, local boys go missing. One by one, they return changed - violent, moody, and withdrawn. What happened to them becomes the stuff of shocking rumors. The accusations of who’s responsible grow just as wild, and dangerous town secrets start to surface.

A great story
Revisado: 12-27-22
Lots of nostalgia and a uniquely written story that keeps you entertained, perplexed, waiting for a climax which doesn’t actually come until the very end and really rounds out all the things you wondered about while listening, this narrator was perfect for the story. Highly recommend.

A tender and terrifying glimpse at small town secrets
Revisado: 12-10-22
This story was so well written and imaginative, not the typical cookie cutter story I keep accidentally latching onto. The narrator has a pleasant voice and kept me listening while anticipating what was to come. Highly recommend.

King thrusts his hate of the right in our face yet again
Revisado: 05-05-22
This was such a good story but of course, king has to take his hatred of conservatives next level every time. I vowed not to listen or read anymore Stephen King 5 years ago but alas, I wanted to give him another shot…now that his man is in charge. Nevertheless, we’re still inundated with his wokeness. I’m not sure why he has to ruin a good story by trying to change opinions or insult people. That being said, the story was good, he reused an old “villain” in the “dead lights” after having used it in IT and I wonder if he’s done and just recycling old ideas that worked in the past. This also was a bit of a copycat of the sixth sense and just by saying “this isn’t like the sixth sense” doesn’t mean you didn’t actually copy a lot of it. Listen or read if you don’t care about the woke left or the hatred of all things not radically left. I’m not mad I bought it, I’m just mad that king thinks his writing is a forum to insult people and showcase his political beliefs.
