James Henry Ferguson doesn't belong here. After a highly publicized fall from grace, James attempts to flee from the chaos in his life. He ends up in a community he had never heard of before, one that has been neglected and ignored by everyone in rural Ham, Mississippi. A place of abject poverty, the neighborhood is commonly referred to as "Around the Way." Within a place forgotten by the rest of the world, politics can be a dangerous game.

Worst. Narration. Ever.

The story is wonderful!! But the book and read it!!
Sadly, I have never heard such awful narration. Awkward pauses that aren’t even fixed by speeding up the book speed. It’s terrible. I can’t imagine how it even made it through production. I honestly didn’t know that books on audible could be narrated this poorly. After I choose books for my last credits I think I’ll cancel Audible and use the library. This narrator was just too terrible to risk again.
