Miss Stan so much!

Downloaded to listen to Stan Lee's Epic Intro because it's Stan for crying out loud! I grew up with his comics, the cartoons that were made based off of them, and then movies and shows. Stan is a legend forever in my heart!
I'd bought Alliance as soon as it hit and listened immediately to it, so this was just to hear his voice again. R.I.P. Stan Lee, the man, the myth, the legend. You're greatly missed by so many of us.

Only problem my kids seemed to have with it is stories didn't end with good enough ending. I explained that it is a good ending and that it leaves an opening for another story or even their own imagination to give it the finale they want. They liked that idea.

The closer it gets to Christmas, the more rambunctious my kids get and this year has been no different. But I downloaded this story and my youngest two didn't give me as much of a hassle. They snuggled up in their beds and listened until they fell asleep.

They're is only one thing, in one spot, we'd complain about and that was between the two stories. There wasn't any kinda break between them. The narrator is reading book one and then reads title of book two and keeps on going. My daughter looked at me with a confused look on her face. She did however love both stories and the Christmas songs added after the end.

My only complaint is words being mispronounced. Otherwise, it's still just as good as the first time I read the story!

Loved listening to this story, even if I had already read it a few (hundred) times before. My kids loved it too. However, we did find that there are problems with the audio unfortunately. We followed along with paperback & hardcover, and there are lines missing in the audio that are in the books. We also discovered that Maia's age is different in the books, one stating 15 yrs and the other 17 yrs. There is also a few mispronounced words. The real kicker is that this doesn't have the actual chapters starting at actual chapters. What says is Chapter... whichever... can actually be 3 chapters worth so be extra sure to mark your chapter if you think you may need to start that one back over.

Not fair!

This story was really good. Loved the dual POV. The narrator did very well. My only complaint is there needs to be another story for this couple! William is such a sweet & sexy vamp! I wonder how Jackie handled the turn. I'd love to know how exactly what their children are and are considered, especially after the comment about a human & vampire child that was made at the bar.

This would make a good Prequel for another William & Jackie story! (😉 😉 hint, hint Regina Morris.)

Awesome story!

My 4 year old loved this story. In fact, she started yawning and dozing off with the yawning performed.



Narration is comically done, so I also enjoyed this story. Even my older children liked this story. They laughed at some of the narration. It was fabulous after a long day.

I'm tied on how to review this. There were some spots I liked a lot and others where I was going "What?!"
For instance, this story is suppose to be about Charlotte & Lance, but we seem to get multiple stories thrown into one. At times it seemed like it was really a story about Thomas & Blackwell from an outsiders P.O.V.
I did like the few Blackwell P.O.V.'s that were thrown in there. And that voice?! Oh lord! He NAILED IT!
There were times, with all three narrators, that you couldn't tell who was who and I had to back it up. But I managed to figure it out.
All in all though, this story wasn't bad & it wasn't great. It was generally a good book. And some time in the future, I will listen to it again.

Without giving to much away I really enjoyed this story! It has one heck of a twist! Seriously WOW! I wasn't expecting all that. Not like that at least. I had a feeling about 1. 😉
Would have most likely given the story itself 5 Stars had it had an epilogue.

Performance wasn't bad, it was actually good. Only problem I had with it was that at times, you couldn't tell who was talking.
