3 books for 1 credit seemed like good value... nope. I will never listen to another book narrated by Emma Galvin, nor written by Shannon Mayer. The constant inflection of Emma's voice made the simple act of Riley opening a door seem like a crisis. The character of Riley kept using words not consistent with her personality. The submissive wolf was cringe worthy. I tried to find a synopsis for the series so I could exit the book early and was unable to find one, which indicates to me that no one cares enough for this mess. Don't bother.

Different, yet familiar, but excellent!

This has a group of extraordinary people come together and each tell why it's likely that they're there. One particular telling moved me to sadness, and it's rare that a book makes me feel much of anything. Very worthwhile.

Of the 160'ish books I've listened to, I can't find anything redeeming about it. I listened to the story until the end and that's the only reason I'm not seeking a refund.

I was a little put off when it was revealed that Athos was an all male planet with all that implies. But, that aspect is not explored in depth. This story follows the typical vorkosigan pattern of mystery, machinations, manipulations, all finally tied up in a neat bow. If you're into the series, you won't be disappointed.
