Wonderful! Great ending, but story gets a bit confusing though with all the timelines and characters represented here.

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

Utter Perfection
Revisado: 11-02-23
I can’t remember a time I enjoyed a book so much! This no doubt will take its place in history as a neighbor to the Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones in literary perfection. It’s easier to read that LOTR, though, and much lighter than GOT. Pretty much my favorite flavor of book. Now hurry up and finish Book 3, Rothfuss!

How do these just keep getting better? I’ve never listened to a book so fast. This has got to be the best one in the series.

Great story, interesting premise (beware of explicit sex scenes)
Revisado: 06-24-23
We listened to this book on our epic car ride for vacation this year. The writing is mesmerizing: it hooks you from page 1. The characters are unique, funny, interesting, and engaging. I love this author and would basically read anything he(?) writes. But seriously the explicit, XXX encounters were so unnecessary. We had to switch to headphones fairly easily on because of all the swearing and boy am I glad we did! We fast forwarded through two very long, erotic scenes that made me blush violently blush while frantically hitting the 30 seconds skip button repeatedly. Still, despite the booty calls,

Historia
Are you afraid to read the Book of Revelation? Do you assume you won't understand it? Overcoming will dispel your fears and give you insight into its meaning, freeing you to discover and experience its power to encourage and motivate you on your spiritual journey. I used to think like you do: "I don't understand the Apocalypse and I never have. I just don't get it, and I probably never will. So until I do, I'm not going to read it." That was before I learned a few common-sense principles that opened up this locked-shut book for me.

Wonderful exploration and unpacking of a complex book!
Revisado: 12-10-22
This is a great unpacking of the themes, historical context, and Old Testament echoes in Revelation. If you’ve spent any time looking at Revelation you know there are A LOT of books covering this topic (most of which, in my experience, are bananas). This is refreshingly grounded and sensible. It explores biblical literacy and offers real-world tools for unpacking and understanding any complex passage in scripture. It’s well-worth the credit! I found myself binge-listening and got through half the book before realizing it. Definitely worth a repeated listen as there is a lot here worth thinking on. I usually listen to books while commuting, so note-taking isn’t an option. I’m going to have to re-listen when I’m home so I can jot down some of these very insightful gems. ✨
