Historia
Bud Threadgoode grew up in the bustling little railroad town of Whistle Stop with his mother, Ruth, church-going and proper, and his Aunt Idgie, the fun-loving hell-raiser. Together they ran the town's popular Whistle Stop Cafe, known far and wide for its fun and famous fried green tomatoes. And as Bud often said of his childhood to his daughter, Ruthie, "How lucky can you get?"

Nothing new here
Revisado: 12-07-20
Although it was nice to reconnect with Buddy, Evelyn and other FGT characters, there was no riveting story here. It was a pleasant read, and I enjoyed it, but it wasn’t as satisfying as some of her other titles, all of which I loved.

Historia
When Sara marries Steve Kendall, she leaves Boston behind and the newlyweds move to his native Nantucket. Though Sara loves the gorgeous island, she is less than thrilled with her husband’s friends, a tight-knit group that leaves her feeling left out. Trying unsuccessfully to have a baby, Sara’s only solace comes from her work as a freelance editor. When she stumbles upon several provocative pages mixed in with one of her manuscripts, she becomes determined to track down the reclusive author. Fanny Anderson has been writing romance novels for years, hiding away in her huge house.

Tiresome
Revisado: 09-24-18
It started out as a promising story, but I kept waiting for either of this book’s female protagonists to experience some personal growth and quit whining. I had to move on with an hour left of the novel. I don’t care what happens to fanny or Sarah. Too much reiteration of their personal problems made the characters impossible to like.
