Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I’ve often thought about meditating, but I usually associate it with a lengthy process involving mantras, uncomfortable positions, and years of practice. But the title “Instant Meditation” caught my attention, especially since I’d downloaded another book in the “Instant Series.” This isn’t a book that requires belief in a religion or spiritual activities – it’s just a down-to-Earth collection of easily understood information, simple exercises and motivational techniques to improve your life, gain energy and at the same time, release tension. Much of the audio book focuses on different breathing techniques, as well as visualization. There are exercises you can do at home, at work, in a crisis situation, while taking a walk – really anywhere you want to shut out the world for a brief time and re-gain peace in your life. There are several suggestions for meditation based on what you wish to accomplish (for example, I needed and was able to use the meditation focused on preparing yourself before delivering a speech or speaking before others). I found all of the exercises to be good, but about 4 of them I use on a regular basis. The time needed to do a meditation is short (about 5 minutes), so I think everyone can find time to do this. Just listening to the hour-long audio book helped me start to relax!

I am using several of the exercises, especially the one about learning to speak in public.

Would you consider the audio edition of Instant Calmness - How to Calm Down and Stay Calm in Any Tough Situation Instantly! to be better than the print version?

Didn't read the print version - not aware there was one.

What did you like best about this story?

It is easy to relate to, the exercises are fun, and I am confident my tension and stress are being helped by it.

What does The INSTANT-Series bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

This is very much an interactive audio book and it helps having a pleasant narrator's voice coaching you. Like going for therapy, without the therapy, and from the comfort of your home!

Would recommend to anyone feeling stressed, worried or under tension. Meditation didn't work for me, but this does. Am giving my friend who suffers from anxiety/panic attacks the gift of this audio book, too. You can listen to the "book" at your own pace and it is something you can definitely benefit from.
