well worth the listen. great characters, beautiful setting. there was a while in middle that I wondered if i would like it afterall, but then I found the pattern and the pacing easy and I could relax into the enfoldment like Mrs. Wilkins 😊💕

I don't leave enough reviews, but your books are always amazing. This nonfiction book has taught me so much about why I like certain shows, movies, and books. It also explained why some movies, characters...etc make me cringe or honestly seem to hurt my soul. I especially loved your explanations of how storytellers shape culture. I am so excited to be armed with all this knowledge literally no one has EVER explained to me before! I had never heard of the Heroines journey before this 💔 Finally, although the intention may not have been to inspire readers to live the life of a Heroine, I am none the less inspired to do so ❤️. Thank you!!

I am such a fan of Gail's books! I've read the Parasol Universe a bit out of order, starting with the Finishing School and then the Custard Protocol 🤣😅 oops! Needless to say I'm so excited to finally be reading Alexia's story! This book is a good balance of romance and story line. Definitely more romance than the Finishing School series, and I love it! I also love how Gail incorporates the science and social graces of this unique universe into her stories. So, so happy for these audiobook experiences.
