Very interesting, lots of food for thought

The narration was pretty jarring. Normal reading was okay but when using other voices it was very distracting and took away my ability to really connect with the book

Clear concise information, he doesn’t claim to have all the answers and is happy to change his mind if the information changes. Felt uplifted after reading this book, I will make it part of my list of books that I will listen to over and over. Loved that he read it himself

Pendergast weirdness is back!

I love that the weirdness/Sci-Fi is back with this book and it was a fun read. I've never really liked the Constance character but the narrator made her down right creepy and almost unbearable to listen to, sounds like an old lady. It was really hard to get beyond his voice, His other voices weren't much better. I was saddened that Rene Aberjonois passed away but there were some good narrators used in the past like Dick Hill & Scott Brick. Hopefully the narration will be better in the next book.

Every American should read this book, Gary Sinise is an inspiring human being. He makes me feel inadequate but motivated to do more for my fellow human beings. We can all learn from his example

Best motivational tool

I’m an older runner, I’ve done lots a half marathons but in the last few years I hit a wall I couldn’t get past and slowed way down. I thought I’d try this because it was free & it has been absolutely incredible. My pace has picked up & my attitude has improved best investor my time in a long while

I felt like I was reading a teenage romance novel

Pretty much the headline spells it out, It seems whenever she ran out of original ideas she went to the standard quote I love you, I love you, I love you. I would have loved to stick my finger down my throat. The book had real potential and that's what bothered me the most. I was determined to finish it but it's been really hard and has taken me months.

I might have like the book more if the narrator didn't have such an annoying way of reading. I don't think I will ever be able to get another book narrated by her.

If you just want a fun story

I have to say I really enjoyed this story, just easy fun, didn't have to do a lot of thinking. The author really caught the essence of the animals didn't try to make the human, It makes me wish I could know what my Aussie is thinking (I know, not very much) but fun to think about. The narrator did a fine job with the various voices of the animals, making it easy to pick out which one was talking. I can't wait for the other books in this series to come to Audible.

Avoid if you think women are actually sensible

The story itself wasn't half bad, but I expected better out of the Gray Man, the way he was acting in this story leads me to wonder how he has survived this far. The female character was just down right stupid, I kept hoping she would be killed off and put us all out of our misery. I hope these are not the kind of women in the authors life, if so he has my deepest sympathy. I will read one more novel by him and if there is no improvement will cease to read the series.
