It was pretty good overall. I just have trouble with Bble based books that inject false Scriptural details. Other than that it was pretty well done.

Narrator sounds like he’s straining at a bowel movement

Narrator doesn’t know how to pronounce words. Nor does he know how to present different characters. He just reads nothing else. Then he grunts constantly like he’s having a bowel movement or trying to do so. Disgusting!!

Some interesting stories but disappointing

The surrogate authors did a mostly good job of mimicking Agatha Christie. Several of their stories really were enjoyable. But I despise the authors that made Miss Marple so liberal that she imbibed in & approved of using heroin, LSD, & other illicit drugs. Nor did I like or agree that Christie would make Marple so liberal she would appreciate nudity or raucous living. True Marple understood evil but she NEVER approved or engaged in it at any time in her life. How dare these new authors cheapen Marple so, especially given Christie said Marple was based on her favorite aunt a Christian woman.

Surprised by brilliance.

Love how well done the story line is. Overall the various stories r great. Also love how God’s Word is threaded thru the entire story. Appreciate the logical progression used to enhance Austin’s original story.

Not only entertaining. Very educational too.

I read my Bible a lot but there r still things I don’t understand. This book shed some light on a few of those things in such a subtle way. I really appreciated it. I truly enjoyed this book bcuz the story was very well done. The narrator did a decent job for the most part but he kept messing the names up big time. That tended to distract me from the book bcuz I couldn’t get his mistakes out of my head quick enough. But aside from that it was an enjoyable book.

Captivating

I struggled with the tendancy back then to enable dysfunction. For example, the many people who gave in to Mary's tantrums was very frustrating. Yet, at the same time, I appreciated the overall loyalty to family. What I love most is the author's ability to take the reader back in time & have us experience a world so different from modern norms, yet, somehow still similar. She really is brilliant at doing that.

Once again the reader encounters a story filled with twists & turns, suspense & surprises. Yet, to the end the reader will experience a real nail biter capped with a most surprising & delightful twist. Does not disappoint.

Captivating

Once again the author has captivated her reader. With drama, suspense. mystery, humor, & a surprising touch of unexpected romance the reader is left spellbound. Thru every twist & turn the mystery leaves a tantalizing question of whether or not Mrs. Polifax has come to the end of her journey. Intrigue, betrayal, unexpected encounters keep the reader guessing. Who can she trust? Has her government really betrayed her? If so why? To the very end surprises abound. I LOVE this book!!! I can't recommend it enough. But be forewarned, the reader may become so engrossed in the story they easily lose track of what's going on in their own world.
