Absolutely amazing
Revisado: 10-26-23
I went through a similar faith transition albeit different religion. Listening to this brought back so many memories as well as intense appreciation for my family who did not shun me. I absolutely recommend this book. It’s beautiful and the performance is outstanding.

Unnecessary updates but good story
Revisado: 03-29-23
I wish they hadn’t thrown in the arbitrary random updates because the flavor of the book was firmly set in the time where it was written. That said, the performance was fantastic and the story well told.

Fantastic book and performance
Revisado: 01-15-21
I obsessively read and reread this series. I have enjoyed Jennifer Ikeda’s performance of the initial trilogy. She has a worthy successor in Saskia Maarleveld. This is the first time I’ve listened to this particular book. It’s just as good. I can imagine it’s challenging taking on a role after another, and I hope people will give Maarleveld a fair shot. She’s doing a great job.
