Historia
Welcome to Grace Valley, California - where blood runs thicker…ties are stronger…and love is all the more sweet. Visitors to the town often remark about the valley's peace and beauty - both of which are plentiful. Unlocked doors, front porches, pies cooling in the windows - this is country life at its finest. But visitors don't always see what lies at the heart of a community. Or just beyond.… June Hudson grew up in Grace Valley, the daughter of the town doctor. Leaving only to get her medical training, she returned home and followed in her father's footsteps.

Love this series!
Revisado: 04-15-25
This may be my favorite of Robyn Carrs series, though all are great! Like most it is full of wonderful characters and dialog. My only criticism is that I wish there were more than 3 books.

Charming story with some fun characters. Also some annoying characters but you gotta have trouble makers to balance things out.

Witch Wynter Dellavale knows that for certain. Because in unfairly trying to execute her, they started a chain of events they're struggling to stop. Needing safety, she flees to Devil's Cradle, the home of monsters. A place for the outcasts, the fugitives, the crazies. A place ruled by the Ancients, seven beings who were once banished by the Aeons. Among the Ancients is the infamous Cain, brother of Abel and embodiment of jealousy - who, on another note, wants her in his bed.

I really like the characters as well as the unique realm they live in. I get a kick out of "Mary". Winter is a very interesting character and I love the Kane/Winter relationship. I look forward to more of them. The sooner the better!

Eden Murphy came into my club looking to make some extra cash. A girl like her didn't belong in a place like this. She'd get ripped to shreds. Most likely by me. There's nothing but sweetness dripping from her sexy little body, and I'm the monster who's salivating to get a taste.

so was Gage a Kindergartener or a 40 year old philosopher? The whole storyline was ridiculous. I normally like AL's work but this was not good. I hate it when books are way more introspection and actual conversations and this got so bad I skipped to the end of the book around the 24th chapter.

I was trying to find a new series that I would enjoy as much as some of my other favorites such as the Kate Daniels series or the Mercedes Thompson series. I was so thrilled to find this series. I could barely put it down. I’m off to download book 2. So happy!

Historia
When Nina Linden is hired to landscape a private island off the New England coast, she sees it as her chance to rebuild her failing business after being cheated by her unscrupulous ex. She never expects that her new client, software mogul Deacon Whitney, would see more in her than just a talented gardener. Deacon has paid top dollar to the crews he’s hired to renovate the desolate Whitney estate - he had to, because the bumps, thumps, and unexplained sightings of ghostly figures in 19th-century dress are driving workers away faster than he can say “Boo.”

This was a little bit different than Ms. Harper’s usual books. A little bit darker but still holds her trademark humor. While the truth about the ancestors was fairly obvious it was still an excellent scary road taken. I enjoyed it immensely.

Somewhat predictable.
Revisado: 05-04-20
First all of this is completely different from the Virgin River series. Not many (or any) feel good moments. I knew who the bad guy was early on though the author works hard to keep us guessing.
That being said there are some interesting characters in the story. Not many like able one but a few of those too.

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year. The tourists think it's all a show: the vampires, the werewolves, the witches, the occasional gargoyle flying through the sky. But the supernaturals populating the town know better. Living in Nocturne Falls means being yourself. Fangs, fur, and all.

This one fell quite a bit short for me.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
Ok to start with there were so many cliches in this book. For example;. female lead is being stalked and someone already tried to kill her so of course she thinks she can take care of herself and goes out to a bar where she tells people exactly who she is and basically holds court with a bunch of strangers who have friends in the town she is being stalked.
Then male lead thinks he is perfectly safe to meet up with said stalker alone and gets shot with a tranquilizer dart and almost dies.
Then of course the female lead and the town busy body figure out a way to find him but don't bother calling the Sherriff who is already searching so they can speed up the process.
And don't get me started on the female lead repeatedly telling the male lead she can't stay married to him and then getting upset when he signs the divorce papers.

Revisado: 04-10-20
I had avoided reading this book because I despised Ophelia. Of course I knew if I skipped it I would miss part of the storyline so I eventually caved so I could read the following book. I am so glad I did! I loved this book! It's my favorite non-Jane-centric book in the series. While I still hate the idea of Jamie with Ophelia I actually kind of like her now.

Couldn’t even get through it.
Revisado: 04-04-20
This book had potential but there were two problems with it. One, 90% of the book takes place in her head as in unending introspection. If I’m exaggerating at all it’s not by much. This brings me to the second problem. When the lead characters spoke at all it was utterly cliched. Honestly about halfway through I gave and skipped to the last chapter just to see how it ended and I couldn’t even make it through that. So bad.
