Coming of age with a twist
Revisado: 02-07-20
This story is one many might relate to. A young man named Thomas from the country who is nearly grown is thrown into an impossible situation where he gets the chance to prove himself or fail an entire race of people. The stakes are certainly high and the deviation from the 1940s to another world was awesome and exhilarating. Classic sci-fi fan fans will rejoice!

Historia
Olivia and Edward Lereux live a quiet life with their chocolate border collie Axel in a picturesque cottage flanked by Maine’s blustery cliffs, far from town and people. Outwardly, their lives appear normal, but they’re not ordinary people. The Lereux family is cursed with something that has claimed their ancestors for many years. When Ravine Lereux receives a distressing letter from her Uncle Edward, she must return to a place she swore never to return - a place that’s haunted by something, an abnormal presence she feared as a child.

I love it!
Revisado: 01-04-20
A fantastic short story with just the right amount of moody details and dark atmosphere. I’ve read the story and love the new layer it achieves with the narrator adding her dramatic voice. I especially enjoyed “The Onyx Creature.” Can’t wait for the next one!

A fabulous story with excellent narration!
Revisado: 04-08-18
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes! Not only is it creative and inspiring, but it is narrated with a strong storytelling technique in the voices and accents of the characters. I totally loved it!
What was one of the most memorable moments of IA: Initiate?
One is most definitely meeting Naz. He is the kind of guy I wish I had around when I was growing up. He has special powers, but he is also kind, empathetic and uses his intelligence, instead of caving in to peer pressure. He's my hero.
Which scene was your favorite?
That's too tough to answer. There are so many great ones!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
What moved me the most is that no matter what Naz faced, he never let all the negative things coming at him change who he really was. This character is the kind of person everyone can relate to and I love this story!
Any additional comments?
If you haven't read or listened to the IA Series yet, you are missing out!
