Story was funny, narration was distracting

Let me start by saying I love this author's writing. All books are an automatic download for me. For this book I liked the characters (all the female characters are very memorable) and the story line was cute. The female lead was hilarious like in many of R.S. Grey's novels. The narration was a bit distracting as any time the British female narrator had to read in an American accent it was way off and any time the American male narrator had to read in a British accent it was also way off.

I've really enjoyed this series, mostly for the storyline. In the most recent addition the writing and narration really came together without the very noticeable "...Vince said..." lines as much. Great character development across the board. I was originally daunted by the length but found myself slowing down on my listening toward the end to try to make it last longer. I just love these books!

Probably shouldn't have used Sebastian

Well the male main character was British. As much as I love Sebastian York, I think they could have found a narrator that has a real accent. Overall I enjoyed the book and will continue with the series.

Very disappointed

I normally don't write reviews but I was so surprised by how much I disliked this book I felt I should share my opinion. From the very beginning I was simply not captivated by her writing like I have been in the past. After maybe 2 and a half chapters I realized I had no idea what I was listening to and had to re-start the book. This book took me significantly longer to finish than I would have expected due to the fact that I kept falling asleep listening to it. Now you might think, "oh is it the narration?" and I don't think that was the problem. There was simply a very weak plot-line unlike Richelle Mead's usual writing style.
If your expectations going in are for well developed characters with charisma and charm with an interesting story line to support them then you will probably not like this book. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy it more that I did!

Forgettable

I enjoyed it well enough BUT...
It was definitely your typical YA fiction.
I almost immediately forgot what this book was about. I think I've already read 2-3 different authors works which have a nearly identical plot. I believe this one ended on a cliff-hanger, but that was not enough to keep me interested to try to finish the series. Very little character development. and nothing intriguing enough about the characters to make me invest my time in another series.
I hadn't heard this narrator before, but she was convincing as a teenage girl.

I couldn't even finish the book. It's too long, and there's a lot of just waiting around and stagnant plot. I only made it through about 8 hours of listening before I gave up.

I have been committed to this series, and I feel like this book was my reward. The planning that went in to this series is astounding and so many things come together in this book. Some of her pairings don't work so well (I had a particularly hard time getting through both Max's and Dev's books - cooincidentally two pairings which did not include much Changeling activity) and this book doesn't capture the Changeling perspective but was not lacking for it at all.
to all fans of the series: this is what you have been waiting for!

A Sweet but forgetable story

This book was good, although I can't say I will want to re-read it or even remember it in a few weeks. The way the author describes the main character's pain is very realistic, but the circumstances of the romance seem very contrived.

I was so incredibly surprised by this book. The emotions portrayed in this story are simply amazing. I haven't finished a book crying so much since 'A Time for Dancing' or 'The Fault in Our Stars'... SUCH a good book

As a fan of most of Vincent's books, I have to say that I enjoyed this particular one the most. The character development and new dimensions to the story has rekindled my interest in Kaylee's story!
