Excellent Performance
Revisado: 07-15-24
The adoption of varying voice for different characters was spot on. The singing voice was on key, presenting the songs with complex key changes and phrasing. The vibrato employed was better than I have ever heard used in an audio book. The voice of the narrator was pleasant and clear. Overall, totally enjoyable.

Erin Morgenstern has an amazing imagination.
Revisado: 05-14-24
In a novel that is very complex and whimsical there is a comforting coherence that brings the reader happily into the story confident that they will not be left by the roadside but carried along to the finish. Too many tales are begun that end weakly and unfulfilled. This story HAS a satisfying finish - priceless.

Historia
Four days before Christmas in 1943, a badly damaged American bomber struggled to fly over wartime Germany. At its controls was a 21-year-old pilot. Half his crew lay wounded or dead. It was their first mission. Suddenly a sleek, dark shape pulled up on the bomber’s tail - a German Messerschmitt fighter. Worse, the German pilot was an ace, a man able to destroy the American bomber with the squeeze of a trigger.
