Historia
Jonathan Grave long ago lost faith with the so-called war on drugs, a futile campaign that enables cartels to make billions under the protection of corrupt officials on both sides of the border. But when a twelve-year-old dies after consuming fentanyl disguised as candy inside the dormitory at Resurrection House, the school he created for the children of incarcerated parents, Jonathan knows it's time to use his special talents to change the game.

What I liked:
The author, the story NEVER disappoints.
The narrator, you bring life and a personality to every individual character.
The action, the intrigue, the pacing, and the arc of the story.

Historia
Gaia is dying. That, at least, is what Dr. Lionel Scott believes. A renowned expert in tropical and infectious diseases, Scott has witnessed the devastating impact of illness and turmoil at critical scale. Society as it exists is untenable, and the direct link to Earth’s death spiral; population levels are out of control and people have allowed disarray and disorder to run rampant. While most are concerned about deadly disease, Scott knows that it is truly humanity itself that will destroy Gaia.

OrphanX & The Gray Man
Revisado: 03-24-24
I did not know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The title eludes the protagonist, being the best of both of these characters only more.
The story is VERY gritty and, at times, extremely intense.
I hope you will give Peter Black a try; oh, I've already bought the next two books in the series!!

I just could not finish this book
Revisado: 10-20-23
Even Scott Brick could not save this book, the author should have let Scott do all of the narration.
The story was disjointed, and confusing oh did I mention many parts were downright boring.
I have over 1100 titles in my library and this is in the top three worst books I have read.

Good but...
Revisado: 03-26-21
Mr Koontz once again delivers an intriguing and just cannot stop reading story!
Mr. Ballerini as always is well, perfect.
Unlike others who have written a review I found the “timber” of the young girls voice to work with her age. Like others I found the pacing of her reading to be disconcerting.
That said I just had to keep going as the story with its twists, turns an edge of your seat moments were too good to stop.

You will enjoy every moment
Revisado: 02-26-20
This may not be the best book I have ever read but it IS the best in many years.
Being on point timely and at one point not sure if this was not really commenting on our countries current upheaval it became obvious it was.
Writing and character development was excellent and kept me (yes a bromide) on the edge of my seat!! The conclusion and subsequent “explanation” was well, astonishing.
Add to this EXCELLENT narration by a woman I have not had the privilege of listening to but hope to again in the not to distant future and you have all the components of a wonderful, can’t put down best in show thriller..
The only question for me is... when is the next book by this wonderful writer coming out? Also, seriously consider continuing to collaborate with this exceptional narrator.
