Honest look at the pain of addiction

This man has had a tortured life. You really feel for him and hope he can beat addiction.

I found the interlude chapters to be an interruption in the story. Why not just include them as they would have occurred naturally, in the chronological order of the story? In a few places, I think that different word choices would have been better… I remember thinking to myself, I think that may be the wrong word. But who knows if I’m right… Finally, his speech sounds a bit slurred in some places. It really made me worry that maybe he had slipped off the wagon. I sincerely hope that is not the case.

I hope and pray he will find the “acquired taste” of reality to be just his cup of tea. I am rooting for him and his success.

Riveting. Extremely well researched and written

The book is eye opening and horrifying. Nance connects all the dots. Finally, a clear explanation of how Russia worked for YEARS to help Trump. He is a WILLING asset. Nance clearly explains why Trump does Putin’s bidding. It is equally saddening and infuriating how the Republican Party, the NRA, and the evangelical leaders have sold out this great nation for political power. I hope democracy survives this all out assault by a hostile foreign power and a number of its own (Russian paid for) GOP politicians. I never thought our own citizens would wrap themselves in the flag as they literally willingly destroyed or idly stood by the destruction of democracy.

Maybe, we should have a rebroadcast of Red Dawn. The Russians are not our friends- not then, not now, not ever. Let’s remind Russia that America isn’t so easily defeated. WOLVERINES!!!!!

A must for anyone that wants to protect democracy

This book is straightforward with 20 simple rules (couched in history) on how democracy can slip into fascism. It is a jarring look at how fragile democracy is and what we can do to try and turn the country away from fascism.
