In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. Perfect
Revisado: 11-12-18
This is one of the best YA series I’ve ever read. The characters pull you in from the first page and then you’re just gone! I feel like the book was made to be read audibly and Tatiana absolutely nails the narration!

Entertaining but Narration is rough to get thru
Revisado: 04-16-15
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Narrator. Several times I found myself thinking how good this would be with better narration.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Satisfaction. Its a very pat ending but I didn't mind I thought it fit the story line.
How could the performance have been better?
Needs a different narrator, period. Honestly, it sounded incredibly similar to the computer reader on my Kindle. I could only tolerate it for doses at a time over several days which is out of character for me as I usually finish my books in about 36 hours.
Do you think Blood Line: A Thriller needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Yes. As the book begins and you get to know the characters you "know" that other books are coming - or should be!
Any additional comments?
I hate to read reviews in which the authors/narrators are bashed. So I hope that my review will not be received that way. No offense to the narrator but the voice was totally wrong for this book.

Historia
It seems at first like a simple, tragic story. Tyler Wingo, a teenage boy, learns the awful news that his father, a soldier, was killed in action in Afghanistan. Then the extraordinary happens: Tyler receives a communication from his father...after his supposed death. Tyler hires Sean and Michelle to solve the mystery surrounding his father. But their investigation quickly leads to deeper, more troubling questions. Could Tyler's father really still be alive? What was his true mission? Could Tyler be the next target? Sean and Michelle soon realize that they've stumbled on to something bigger and more treacherous than anyone could have imagined.

Not my favorite...
Revisado: 02-13-15
Narrator was Great but the story was a little too winding. I found myself losing interest & walking away from it. Which is a rarity for Baldacci.

Historia
Jack Reacher was alone, the way he liked it, soaking up the hot, electric New York City night, watching a man cross the street to a parked Mercedes and drive it away. The car contained one million dollars in ransom money because Edward Lane, the man who paid it, would do anything to get his family back.

Great Story but...
Revisado: 09-01-14
Would you listen to The Hard Way again? Why?
No. The story was good...classic Reacher, but the narration was painful.
What other book might you compare The Hard Way to and why?
If you enjoy the Reacher series, this is a good one.
How could the performance have been better?
The voice used for Reacher was good but the voice/inflections used for EVERY other character was whiny and therefore grating. It pulled me out of the story.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No. I usually start a story & play it to the end. I couldn't do it for this one because of the narration. I turned it off several times to start other books before I returned to it.

When Victor arrives at the compound to collect details and payment for a hit, Sarai sees him as her only opportunity for escape.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Not the audible version. The female narrator is excellent but the male narrator voice is completely wrong for the character. His voice takes you out of the book. It would be more enjoyable to read this book.
What did you like best about this story?
Sarai's spunk & determination.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Stephen Bel Davies and Kate Reinders ?
Kate Reinders was great but I would have liked Michael Kramer, Rob Shapiro or George Guidall.
Did Killing Sarai inspire you to do anything?
No

Revisado: 04-14-14
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Yes
Have you listened to any of Edoardo Ballerini’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No I haven't
Was The Professionals worth the listening time?
Yes but not a stay up all night listen.
Any additional comments?
From the beginning of this story you can easily guess how it will end. Usually that's enough to make me put a book down but this story was so engaging that it kept me involved to the end. Again the story is predictable but it is told in a way that makes you REEALLY hope for a twister at the end but *sigh* it's not to be.
