Masterpiece.

Sullivan has created an amazing world full of complex characters, and this book just left me speechless. I have listened to every single one of his books, 12 of them twice, and Farilane has become my favorite character. I am impressed by the amount of character development he was able to pack into a single work, not only for the princess but for her scribe especially. This book CAN be appreciated as a stand-alone, although it would be hard to understand the depth of the beauty in the ending without the full context in the characters history. My only regret is that it will be a year before I can read the next book.
