Then, decades later, thousands of miles away in New York, there's an inescapable glance of recognition between two strangers. Providence is giving Lenka and Josef one more chance. From the glamorous ease of life in Prague before the Occupation, to the horrors of Nazi Europe, The Lost Wife explores the power of first love, the resilience of the human spirit, and the strength of memory.

It felt like I was there
Revisado: 01-14-16
I have no words to express the emotion that this book awakened on me. It pulled me in from the very beginning, I wanted to know what fate has prepared for each of the characters and I really wanted their safety! I usually listen to books when I'm running, in this book I often had to stop to cry a little. Beautiful, exciting! I was delighted with the performance of the narrators, I felt like I was one of the characters in the book. I was wrong when I thought I knew a lot about the Second World War, this book taught me new things like, for example, the importance of art in the concentration camps to spread what was happening with the jews.

The world turning around Lily
Revisado: 01-14-16
I had a hard time listening to this audiobook, I restarted several times since lost interest easily and thought about other things. I stopped, I listened to another book, I tried again, stopped. With a lot of effort I could listen to the whole book. After ‘Me before you’, the expectation was too high, so I expected more from ‘After you’. Tip: who liked 'Me before you ' will love 'The lost wife'.

Stop and think about your ability to move
Revisado: 12-31-15
I was very disappointed with the books I was choosing ... until this. I did not want to stop listening. It was undoubtedly one of the best I've heard this year, helped me reflect a lot about the life of a person with special needs and the demand of the people that are around. I was disappointed at the end of the book, even though I expected the events. I can not judge anyone, but some decisions in life are against the law of God. We need to guide our children to grow up with moral laws, and with some misfortune of life, may resign and accept God's plan.

Very usuful book
Revisado: 12-31-15
I nursed my oldest son up after two years and my youngest daughter is 10 months. Even though with breastfeeding experience, I bought this book to help me with some questions and encourage me to continue with breastfeeding. It is a very difficult phase, but also very pleasurable for women. I strongly recommend this book for moms who dream of breastfeeding and for those who want to continue breastfeeding. I also recommend for those fathers who want to be more than spectators in breastfeeding, helping moms in their difficulties.

This book didn’t get me interested
Revisado: 08-28-15
I made a tremendous effort to continue to listen until the end, I usually spend 1 week to listen to a book. This one I spent more than 1 month and I didn’t finish. For me it was a waste of time and credit. I bought because the good reviews and previous books, but I thought very boring, monotonous and without great emotions. I have listened to hundreds books and my expectations were very high because the Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns. I felt very disappointed. One of the narrators was terrible, I lost focus a hundred times and I needed to go back in order to understand what was happening.

Historia
Born a generation apart and with very different ideas about love and family, Mariam and Laila are two women brought jarringly together by war, by loss, and by fate. As they endure the ever escalating dangers around them, in their home as well as in the streets of Kabul, they come to form a bond that makes them both sisters and mother-daughter to each other, and that will ultimately alter the course not just of their own lives but of the next generation.

The best book I have ever listened to!
Revisado: 09-30-14
Very intelligent plot, excellent narrator! I have been listening to a lot of books and there was a long time that I didn’t find a good one. It was my first Kate Morton book, I loved! I was really hooked in the plot, I suffered with some characters. The narrator in this book is wonderful and in my opinion made the book even better. Love, Love, Loooooved it! I haven’t finished this one and I have already bought all books available on audible.com, I hope the next ones will be very good also. I would be extremely happy if I receive suggestions of books like Kate Morton’s style.

Terrible book
Revisado: 08-13-14
It’s not common I stop listening to a book before finishing it, if the book is not so great, I made a lot of effort to finish it. But this one was impossible, I couldn’t be involved and for me was a torture the time that I spent. In may opinion, the narrator in this book was terrible, all the times I imagined that he had a moustache that influenced his bad diction.
