What a hoot! The U.S. is seeing the worst winter storms in years, and Audible publishes Shoshanna Evers' Snowed In story! What timing! ;-)

This was a great find for me - 'snowed in' myself at home and looking for a romance taking place in winter. The characters are great as always, though the story could have taken place over a longer period of time.

And being an animal lover, I loved how Sarah the main character takes them everywhere with her. Highly recommended listening!

Would you listen to Entwined Erotica: Volume 1 again? Why?

I would listen to my favorite story 'Wild Oats' over and over again, since straight sex is more my style. I liked the paranormal/dream factor about it :-) (and the thought of being able to go back in time and consummate my passion with several past love interests ;-))

Also, 'Eight Days in May' with Chastity and the Irish hubby and wife was also sexy, interesting and had an ending I didn't expect!

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the concept - Chapter 1 is the same beginning, but then each story takes the main character, Chastity into a different direction, a different choice and a completely different ending. I was very pleased that each author writes very well. I don't know a lot about bdsm, but I learned a lot listening to 'Hers' and 'Dear Girl'.

All very erotic, very sensual - and I like how all the characters are fleshed out. There is a background to each - and everyone is likeable, even with their...different tastes in sex.

Which character – as performed by Christine Padovan – was your favorite?

Chastity, the main character. I also enjoyed how she portrayed Mr. Darcy in 'Wild Oats'.

Any additional comments?

I have no idea why one reviewer said the stories were all the same - they are all unique, stand-alone stories. The only constant in each story is the main character, Chastity with a couple of characters reappearing and 'entwined' with one another, BUT in a different mode and thought process. Each story is a different type of sexual encounter, sexual genre and relationship.

The whole concept is well though out - allowing customer participation for future storylines is very refreshing too.

A lovely story. Loved the elements of family blended in with the romance. More could have been developed on Samantha's emotions from being kidnapped while overseas, but it still was a great story :-)

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, because it represents the conflict that a lot of women who take care of extended family feel - to want to be selfless, but to also want their own personal fulfillment, and wondering how to attain both. Plus it has quirky small town characters that make it very entertaining :-)

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The widowed mom and her realizing that once a new man enters her life, she needs to stop being needy and let her grown daughter have her own life too.

What does Christine Padovan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Bringing character voices to life and making the story interesting and entertaining, even when some of the accents aren't perfect. That is what I like about listening to audiobooks - different narrators bringing their own style and flavor to the story.

Any additional comments?

I enjoy Ms. Reeves' writing style and will be buying her other stories too.

Would you consider the audio edition of Prodigal to be better than the print version?

Yes - I like both versions but reading can be fatiguing on older eyes, so to listen to it and be able to hear the tension and excitement in the characters' voices really makes it very enjoyable. I was able to feel and connect more with the characters :-)

What did you like best about this story?

How it starts out in a quiet fashion, then the tension keeps building up more and more. You can't wait to listen to the next chapter to find out what happens next! It really keeps you hanging onto your seat! A real modern age horror/suspense story!

What about Christine Padovan’s performance did you like?

She has a soothing, almost hypnotic quality as the narrator, then changes her tones to fit the different characters so well. I like how she captured the selfish feelings of the children, especially the main character, Lucy.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, but to mention it would spoil the story! ;-)

Any additional comments?

It's about time this author's first novel was put into an audio version!

Where does Rider: Spirals of Destiny: Book 1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I rank it at the top of the fantasy genre of stories. It is so different than other audiobooks about unicorns. I have never heard a story about unicorns where the unicorns had the same emotions and traits of humans! Wonderfully written with lots of details describing knights, battle maidens, battle scenes, training and fight scenes - even with some humor and romance put in here and there. Plus a surprise twist at the end!

What did you like best about this story?

The description of towns, the characters and especially of the Sacred Isle and the different battle maidens and their unicorns. The unique names and use of difficult descriptive words.

Have you listened to any of Christine Padovan’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have never heard Ms. Padovan narrate an audiobook before - she did an amazing job voicing over 35 different human AND unicorn voices (male and female voices) - that is a very tough job for any narrator to do! She has a naturally sensual, deep voice that can easily portray a young girl, a gruff man or even an old woman. Ms. Padovan even changed her voice to sound like the woman with the squeaky voice on the Big Bang Theory for one of the battle maidens (probably because the maiden was described as petite and small).

Thankfully, that one high pitched voice was only in a couple of key chapters though - I credit Ms. Padovan for making a bold choice for a character but I would not have wanted to hear that character the whole time. However, I'm still giving 5 stars for the performance - the versatility, the styling and pacing kept my interest throughout the listening time.

A very detailed story with some difficult wording and phrasing (the author loves to create original names of people and places - great for the listener but I'm sure hell for the narrator) which was very admirably narrated by Ms. Padovan

I hope the publisher and author bring Ms. Padovan back again to continue this series (there is suppose to be another book soon) and keep us entertained and informed of the adventures of Kayleigh and Mahjerri.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Towards the end of the story where Mahjerri must face the evil villain - there are a couple of other moments but I don't want to ruin the surprise ending for anyone! :-)

Any additional comments?

Hope the next book comes out soon :-)
