I loved the 2025 (from 2017) updated story of a QB, and his best friend's sister.

I absolutely loved this friends to lovers tale. As is her M.O., Lauren gives you the sweet with quite a bit of dirty (wink!). Cooper is an all around good guy, but in addition to leading his team hopefully into the playoffs, he's worried about his impending contract end/renewal. He's got family, friends, and teammates depending on him to keep it cool, but Cooper's working overtime to keep everything balanced.

When Violet (Cooper's best friend's sister) helps him out at a charity auction, she ends up kind of not denying she's Cooper's girlfriend. Violet has known Cooper since she was in elementary school, and they've been good friends ever since. In order to help her brother's buddy out of a sticky situation, Violet agrees to pretend to be his girlfriend. They both do a great job pretending, until they're not, and that's when the fun starts.

With the original narrator of Andi Arndt, Lauren brings in Jason Clarke this time to play our favorite QB. I love his smooth, sexy voice, and the way he brings life to not only Cooper, but Trent, Jones, and the rest of the gang.

No spoilers, but I devoured this story--not surprising w/LB books. The story was happy, funny, so sexy, and there's football! Five stars!!

I really enjoyed this beautiful MMF story. Pop star meets fire chief and his best friend the assistant pro hockey coach. Each with their own personal issues somehow find their soulmates when they least expected--or wanted it.

Very hot scenes, a lot of feelings, and so much love between these three. Grayson Owens and Janine Granda (new to me) did a great job narrating. I love this series and can't wait for the next story.

What started as a one-night stand ends up being so much more. When Gabby is at a bar licking her wounds from a horrible interview, she runs into Ryland, high school baseball coach. She decides he’s the perfect medicine to her woes. After a great night, they go their separate ways thinking neither of them will see the other again. But fate intervenes and turns out Gabby didn’t blow her interview. She got the job! The job being assistant coach at the same high school Ryland coaches. When Ryland finds out, he’s shocked, and upset. He’d rather not work with her, but he doesn’t have a choice. They both try to make the best of it, but their attraction is strong. But Ryland is guardian to his 4-year-old niece, and he doesn’t have time for a personal relationship. Fight it as they might, they eventually give in to their physical attraction, and eventually feelings happen.

This was a beautiful, and at times funny tale with several side stories. I adore Ryland’s family, and Gabby’s best friend was a hoot. Ryland and Gabby both had such tough upbringings, and I loved seeing them get their HEA.

I loved this single dad, enemies to lovers with sports thrown in romance. Samantha Brentmoor and Sebastian York narrated this great story.

This is my first book by Eva Winners. She writes a pretty good Mafia story with some unconventional roles for the women in this one. Jason Clarke and Angelina Rocca did a great job narrating the Irish Mafia boss and his daughter's best friend.

Maxwell Sutton had personal issues that was affecting his work, so he left his and his brother's law firm to take care of himself. After spending enough time not doing much, Max is ready to come back to work. When Maxwell's brother hires his new assistant, there's an instant dislike of one another. Summer has heard the rumors about the mean and moody Sutton brother, and she's not taking any of his crap. She'll do her job, and try to avoid her new boss as much as possible. Max doesn't care for Summer's attitude toward him. She's not afraid to tell him how she feels, and he doesn't like it. But, for some reason, he's also attracted to her. Summer feels the same way, and it was fun watching these two smart, stubborn people try their best to work with each other, while fighting the pull between them. Until they can't. Lots of heat between these two!

I loved Max and Summer seeming to tolerate each other, but slowly they come to find they have a lot in common. I loved the banter between Max and his brother David. They give each other grief, but they're very close and protective of one another. Their family dynamic is pretty entertaining. Summer and her friends and family are equally as engaging.

This was my first time reading Evelyn Sola, and definitely won't be my last. I'm looking forward to continuing this Sutton series. Wesleigh Siobhan and Troy Duran did a great job narrating this story.

Revisado: 01-16-25

In this enchanting tale of friendship blossoming into love, Asher and Maeve’s journey captivates the heart from the very first page. Their deep bond, forged over years of shared friendship and unwavering support, sets the stage for a romance that feels both inevitable and thrilling.

When fate intervenes in the form of a charity auction, whisking them away to the glittering lights of Las Vegas, their platonic relationship takes an unexpected turn. In a whirlwind of excitement, fueled by the intoxicating atmosphere of Sin City, Asher and Maeve find themselves at the altar in a surprise wedding. When the light of day brings common sense, they decide to annul the marriage. Unfortunately, word—and pictures—have gotten out of their nuptials. So they decide to continue being married for a while for appearances.

As their “pretend” marriage unfolds, the line between friendship and love begins to blur. The couple discovers a simmering attraction that has long been hidden beneath the surface of their friendship. Each tender moment and stolen glance reveal the depth of their connection, leaving readers breathless with anticipation.

Lauren Blakely masterfully weaves a tale of two souls discovering that their perfect match has been by their side all along. The author delves into the complexities of their emotions, exploring how their strong foundation of friendship evolves into a love story that feels both fresh and familiar.

The narration by Robert Hatchet and Vanessa Edwin breathes life into this passionate friends-to-lovers romance, their voices perfectly capturing the chemistry and emotional intimacy between Asher and Maeve. This irresistible story of unexpected love will leave you swooning, reminding us all that sometimes, the greatest love stories begin with the strongest friendships
