I was greatly offended by this book and how the author portrayed black women. The rape of the teenage girl was gruesome I had to skip over that part. The part of this book that put a bad taste in my mouth was 25 years of no contact and she just let this man fuck her while they both was on the job and in the police station. I will admit that I did stop reading the book because I was so disgusted with the characters and the author. I would not recommend this book for anyone to read. I also will never read anything by this author. I also will be returning this book to get my money back.
