these authors have started adding "bonus content" or "free previews" to all their books and they range anywhere from 1-2.5 hours so you end up getting substantially less progress in the story than expected

these authors have started producing shorter and shorter books but compensate by attaching "free previews" of other books at the end. 100% not worth a credit and at this point I'll only buy their books of they're on sale for $5 or less.

Fast Paced, Engaging Concept, Maybe too engaging

I binged this book in one session, the problem is I didn't start it until approximately 6pm.... it's the next day and I'm mad at Ben for how much sleep I lost to this book, but on my personal scale lost sleep is the barometer for an outstanding book

reasonably entertaining Freshman effort

it's pretty obvious this is the authors first book, there there is definite room to improve the plot progression and creating characters with more depth. having said this is LITRPG and as an outlet for escapism I don't regret the listen. The premise is interesting, the pacing was enough to keep me engaged and just enough relatable content to let me lose myself.

as has been pointed out the Christian theme can be a little jarring in the context of LITRPG but that's a creative choice on the part of the author and isn't necessarily preachy, just an aspect of the character.

knowing how brutal ratings are, this is honestly a 4 star book but I'm giving it 4.5 considering it's his first book and rounding it up to 5 to provide encouragement to the author to keep honing his craft

this collection isn't going to revolutionize the literature world but 1 credit for 35+ hours of a reasonably entertaining series is worth it. I didn't lose any sleep to this book but still enjoyed it

I had to run the book at 1.25 speed in order to stay engaged but overall enjoyed it. it's definitely worth 1 credit for over 50 hours

mediocre finish to an awesome series

this book gives the strong impression of writer burn out. many of the plot threads were left unresolved, the overall story felt rushed and only superficially thought out. I'd have much rather the author take as much time away as necessary so he could come back and do it justice

having read all the series by this author I think this is easily his best. fun characters. lots of action. and a clever world to suck you in. I lost multiple hours of sleep listening to this and the first book

Don't bother - Won't be finished

I really enjoyed these books but the author has finished it and in online interactions has told fans he doesn't plan on having the last 4 books recorded. If Audible is the only way you consume books, don't waste your time or money on this series.

Don't bother, the author wont finish the series

These were really enjoyable books but something happened that has caused the author to refuse to finish recording the rest of the series on audible. If you only listen to books, don't waste your time or money on these books as you'll be left VERY frustrated by not being able to finish them.
