This version of the audiobook has truly the perfect narrator. Each character and voice comes to life in this story.
I would highly recommend picking up this audiobook to listen to a high fantasy and adventurous story that will make you feel nostalgic. Let's go on this adventure together.

A short thriller/mystery novel that stars with one of the sadistic murders of the story. It starts of strong and already raising many questions. Although the rest of the story felt slow and at times even boring. Nothing much actually happens. We mostly follow the author or the detective. Both go their ways, talk to people and think about what is happening.

The ending came unexpected, but not in a good way. It felt like an extra that wasn't part of the story. The supernatural aspect is weird and doesn't add up to the story. I like the overall mystery and thriller aspect, the murders, the detective duo and even the suspects are an interesting part of the novel. But sadly it didn't deliver to me what should have been a thrilling suspense novel.

A short mystery novel about a dog walker who finds the body of the dog owner and the detective who is trying to solve the crime. There are two point of views, the dog walker and the detective, that tell this story. It was an entertaining mystery novel with an unexpected ending and an intriguing who-done-it factor.

I recommend this audiobook to people who love good mystery novella's and stories about dogs.

A short but intriguing mystery novel. The story is not what it seems and will slowly lay out all it's secrets by the end. Good story for those who are interested in psychological mystery and crime novels.

Geeky swapped places story

I listened to the second audiobook in the Once Upon a Con series.

We follow Jessica Stone, the actress from the first book, and meet a new character in the second book of the Once Upon a Con series. This book takes place at the convention a year after the events of Geekerella.

The story follows a classic swapped places trope between a popular actress and a geeky fangirl who look noticeably similar with a wig and some makeup. They have a reason for switching places, but one keeps it from the other, leading to typical communication issues and judgement of each other's lives and choices.

The part that read a lot like the first novel was the focus on Starfield, the actors, and the convention, all mixed with a dash of romance. It had its geeky elements, cute scenes, and adorable romances building up.

However, it was not the same as Geekerella. I did not connect with the characters, and I found myself not invested in the story either. I did like the romance building up for both main characters, though. That was a cute little aspect of the story. But overall, I didn’t like it as much as I had hoped.

Geeky Cinderella Retelling

I read it for the second time. This time, I listened to the audiobook version via Audible.

Geekerella is an adorable and classic example of a modern Cinderella retelling. What makes this story so unique is its focus on love for a science fiction television series. The geeky elements include some widely used and beloved aspects of being a fan. There is cosplay, fun facts (and much love) about the fictional show and its characters, as well as a convention where some very important Cinderella events take place.

It gives geeks who cosplay and go to conventions a warm, recognizable feeling, as we can see ourselves being absorbed into a fandom and completely involved in everything surrounding our shows, games, and books.

Geekerella is a cute story. I loved all the Cinderella aspects and all the fandom aspects. The only thing I have outgrown since the last time I read it is the characters. I'm older now and find it harder to connect to teenagers/young adults in books. The family situation in the story was particularly difficult to relate to. However, I would still recommend Geekerella to fans of Cinderella retellings who don't mind a hint of geekiness and young adult protagonists.

I have listened to the Audible audiobook of "Christmas by Accident".

Overall, the narrator did a great job telling the story. However, the story itself failed to entertain me. I didn't feel connected to the main characters, and their story seemed to be rushed to a happy conclusion. It had some lovely moments, but overall it was just an okay Christmas story for me.
