Painful narration

The male narrator was on point, but the female narrator is making me consider abandoning the book a little way in. She reads in a very slow, melodramatic voice that reminds me vaguely of those old 1-900 ads on late night tv. I found myself disliking the character and thinking she needed to get over herself because of the narration.
The story itself I think would be most appealing to high school or college age kids. It has a young adult fiction vibe that can feel immature and cliche if you’re in your 30s or beyond, with some pretty lame humor. I think I would have loved it at 14 or 15 or though.

Entertaining if you can get past the terrible narrator

This was an entertaining light read but I could not get past the narrator's reading style which was comically overdramatic at best and eye-rollingly annoying at worst.
