Great sequel
Revisado: 04-14-24
I really liked both this and the first book in this series. Although the narration is great, and I don’t have any complaints, I do wish the narrator was male. I love the inclusion in these books, which is why I started listening to them, but it’s sometimes hard to remember that this is a gay romance when the voice of the main character is a woman’s.

This book is incredible. It’s masterfully written, with characters that feel so real, decisions that make sense, consequences that actually matter. The is a perfect conclusion to this trilogy.

Historia
Darrow would have lived in peace, but his enemies brought him war. The Gold overlords demanded his obedience, hanged his wife, and enslaved his people. But Darrow is determined to fight back. Risking everything to transform himself and breach Gold society, Darrow has battled to survive the cutthroat rivalries that breed Society's mightiest warriors, climbed the ranks, and waited patiently to unleash the revolution that will tear the hierarchy apart from within.

Fantastic
Revisado: 04-07-16
Where does Morning Star rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Top 3. The other two are the other two books in this series. Seriously the best book I've ever read/listen to.
What did you like best about this story?
There isn't a single thing to dislike. So it makes it difficult to pic what I think is the best. But I really enjoyed how right up to the very end I had no idea how it would actually end.
Have you listened to any of Tim Gerard Reynolds’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've listened to his performances for the other two books in the series and compared to those ace performances its pretty much the exact same. He really earned the five star rating I gave.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
With out spoiling anything? I think the very beginning was particularly horrific. I couldn't imagine having that done to me. I also enjoyed the epilogue at the end. I thought it was a very fitting end to the series.
Any additional comments?

Why do you do this to me Pierce?! Can you not leave your book on a happy note?! Now I have to wait god knows how long for the next one!!
Fantastic book. One of the best I have listened to in a very very long time. I can't wait for the final book. Pierce brown is masterful in crafting this world. He paints grief and sorrow in a way that make the pain felt by the characters feel real. He makes me want to live in his world.
I read the reviews before I bought this book and laughed at everyone saying that you wouldn't be able to guess the plot twists. Usually you can. But in this case you really can't. There were many cases where I was dumb struck at where the story turned. Masterful work.
I'm looking forward to the next installment.

Great
Revisado: 10-01-15
This book was one of the best books I've listened to ever. It's a mixture between science fiction and medieval times and holds the two in balance perfectly. The only thing that I didn't like about this book is how slow it starts off. The first part of the book is highly important to the rest of the story but that isn't apparent until later.
