reader talent horrible
Revisado: 04-29-21
if an American in the Regency period could be a "Valley Girl", the reader talent in this book would be perfect. if I didn't love Julia Quinn books so much, this reader would have turned me off completely. thank goodness for Rosalyn Landor.

the book is good, but the narrator will drive you
Revisado: 06-18-20
This story may be good, but the narrator was slow and her men's voices were horrible! I wish I hadn't bought it.

I didn't care for the narrator at all.
Revisado: 04-06-20
the narrator's voice was ok for the men, mostly, but his cadence and pauses were all wrong. the women's voices were really bad and the accents were horrendous.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

good, wick read. the performer isn't that great
Revisado: 05-13-19
The story in this book continues the story of Adam & Harriet along with the main characters. Lots of tension in the relationship makes for an interesting road to marriage. My only complaint is that it's so short, but that's the nature of these books. You've done it again, Amelia!
I didn't care for the drab voice of the reader. There is so much humor and joy in these books that was lost by the reader/performer.

Historia
Andrew Brody, investment banker and self-made millionaire, has just lost his father but gained an estate. Along with inheriting stocks, bonds, racehorses, and undeveloped land, he learns that he is now the owner of a hotel that has been in the family since 1875 and should probably just be torn down. Marissa Clark needs a new challenge - staging homes to sell and rearranging pictures on walls isn't what she dreamed of doing when she became an interior designer. When she gets a call asking her to help renovate a historical building, she leaps at the change.
