How does trauma affect a child's mind—and how can that mind recover? In the classic The Boy Who Was Raised as a Dog, Dr. Perry explains what happens to the brains of children exposed to extreme stress and shares their lessons of courage, humanity, and hope. Only when we understand the science of the mind and the power of love and nurturing can we hope to heal the spirit of even the most wounded child.

Monumental. Life-changing. A must-read!
Revisado: 04-08-21
I went into this book as a firm Christian and it has strengthened my faith immensely. I have a technical mind and study the Bible with diligence, but I have never seen much need for historical evidence outside of the Gospels. This book not only exposes you to the benefit of such evidence but the staggering amount of evidence that exist. I have often dealt with skeptics of the Bible and all I have is experiential evidence but now I have an idea of where to go for all types of evidence.

A thorough framework for biblical interpretation
Revisado: 03-16-21
To say this text is logical is an understatement! In a time when most books attempt to offer a particular brand of biblical interpretation through the lens of doctrine, the book lays out a framework for analysis that guides the student to an understanding of the biblical text without allowing for preconceptions or imposed thoughts. Very good reference.
