I LOVE Shane East but the female character was always annoying. Even the one time she was changed to someone else’s voice.
I never thought I could get too much Shane East but even he ended up sounding like the same character for every book.
The narrators NEED to change for at least every 2-3 books when they are written too much alike, as these were.
Also, the degradation needs to be mentioned in the synopsis or warnings. These men treat these women horribly until they suddenly “discover” they are “in love”. Actually, they are still debasing A’holes even then.
I wish I hadn’t wasted my money.

I love the humility that Jason has and his fear of becoming a monster. The world building is amazing, the power structure is easily understood, and the emotional range is absolutely fantastic!

I absolutely love the way Juliette balances those intensely sensual moments with true heart-felt connections and humor!
The narrators were both perfect for these characters! I wish her dragon series had better narrators as the woman who provided her voice for that series made my brain bleed. Thank you for not using her again!

I believe I may have done a disservice to Bridget and Jake Boudreaux by not leaving reviews before. I have listened to many books by them before and never been happy with their performance. I keep hoping they will become better but honestly they, especially Jake, have only become worse. They are absolutely awful and have no chemistry in their reading!
The story itself is ridiculous because they are going to fire FOUR personal assistants to replace with their love interest! Anyone whom knows a single thing about this world knows that she would be absolutely overwhelmed as she has no experience. It is also so, “Oh, poor baby!” that it is making me gag.
I very rarely leave negative reviews but I truly think that all involved in this production need a little reeducation. This is only the second time in the last 10+ years that I am going to ask for a refund. I hope you all do better in the future. We all have room to grow!

This story is a amazing on every level! The narrators were fantastic and the ending left me crying! I don’t want to spoil it so you’ll have to read it to decide if they were sad or happy tears!

Soft romance and melodramatic teenage scenes at every corner.

I love romance books (and to each their own as to how sensual they like it) but the romance was non-existent, the sex had no depth either, at times I was unable to connect because I thought “Really? You had the best sensations of your life and there was not much else besides that?” You describe with barley any detail the life changing sensations that I could relate to but nearly every scene ended as melodramatic (read teenage, hormonal, over-the-top reactions at almost every corner.) Is it not possible for the heroine to think beyond her emotions even a tiny bit before reacting? I am so tired of books that depict us as being unable to logically think through circumstances and possibilities. I love for a man to take control but “NO!” is my first response if he has not earned it! That means trust! Which is developed through a long term relationship. Not Love -at-First-Sight with a virgin wanting a very experienced man. The heroine was so hypocritical of the man, even while she CONTINUOUSLY did what she kept FREAKING out about every chapter to him! Hello?!?! Do you remember the scene where she complained about how Martin could stand to keep dating Damien’s leftovers and how sick it made her?!?!?! What in he world was Damien then? He wasn’t the leftovers from any of the other numerous women treat he had slept with?!?!?! Double standards are not acceptable! If you are not fixing the problem you are part of it! I don’t mean to be hard on you but I truly hope you are wii g to hear the logic behind T least some of this. from this. Best wishes for your life and growth!
