This was a really cute read! I had a lot of fun with it after a slightly rocky start but overall I really enjoyed it and I’ll definitely be picking up the next book in the series.

The town was so charming and I loved that it was truly haunted and that all the benevolent ghosts had been accepted by the town. I loved the punny business names and how they really leaned into the haunted theme.

I was a little worried at the beginning of the book because I was afraid that the plot was going to rely on Cassie being an idiot. And while I think it took her way too long to consider the possibility that her house may be haunted, I’m really glad I kept reading.

This book was a wonderful escape and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Excuse me while this book becomes my entire personality! I loved it so much! It was the perfect romcom with two MCs that I loved to pieces with amazing chemistry and banter.

Hallie and Hayden were a match made in Area 51. I couldn’t get enough of their believer and skeptic dynamic. It made for amazing snark and banter. But what I loved the most was that while Hallie didn’t believe in the paranormal she believed in Hayden. Watching his excitement and happiness gave her so much happiness.

And seriously how could I not fall in love with a MMC with tattoos of krakens and not deer, who was just as passionate about Hallie as he was just cryptid and paranormal research.

While this book had many comedic elements, Hayden getting in an argument with the ghost tour guide, it also dealt with some pretty serious topics. Like coping with the death of a loved one after being a caregiver for years and how to regain your self confidence after leaving an incredibly toxic relationship. All of their fears and how they handled them just made me love these characters even more.

I cannot wait to dive into the next book!

Alex Finke did a wonderful job narrating. There weee times I forgot it wasn’t a duet narration!

I love this series so much! Riley and Nick being me so much joy. They along with their gaggle of geriatric friends never cease to make me laugh.

These books are always chaotic in the best possible way but Lucy really cranked the dial on the chaos meter up when she decided to have Nick and Riley take on Griffin’s case.

I don’t think I have ever loved to hate someone more than Griffin and Belle. They are a match made in hell. They deserve each other and I mean that in the most uncomplimentary way possible.

I did feel like the big twist at the end was a bit predictable. I think I called it about halfway into the book. But I still enjoyed the chaos and shenanigans.

I never want this series to end. I think I could read 100 more books.

Lived up to the hype

It’s been a hot minute since I loved a fantasy book this much. I was hooked from the beginning. The world building was so well done. It was so vivid without feeling like I was being bogged down with a ton of overly complicated information. I love a good enemies to lovers romantasy with sarcastic sidekicks and an adorable pet.

I loved Saeris. She was such a baddie! She was confident but without hubris. I loved her strength, determination and quick wit. Kingfisher is what shadow daddy dreams are made of. He was infuriating in the best way possible. The way when you know he’s being jerk for a reason and you’re just waiting for the grand reveal.

I really appreciated that while I am going to go feral waiting for the next book, this didn’t end on an insane cliffhanger. One of the reasons I usually wait to read fantasy books is because of those gut wrenching cliffies.

The audiobook was amazing. I LOVE duet narrations and Stella Bloom and Anthony Palmini did a fantastic

Another great mystery from Melinda Leigh! I can’t get enough of this series. Every time I start a book, I ignore all responsibilities to finish.

For some reason this one was a little more predictable than the other books in the series but there were still plenty of twists and turns that had me second guessing my suspicions.

I think I was most excited about finally getting a love interest for Adam and getting updates on Todd and Cady.

I never know what to expect with co-writes. Sometimes they blend seamlessly and I completely forget that it is a co-write and other times it is glaringly obvious when the author switch. I’m delighted to say that this book was the former!

I really enjoyed this book! As someone who has only read the Bree Taggert books and loved the dynamic between Bree and Matt, while I missed him being central to this book, I didn’t miss him as much as I thought I would. Mercy was so smart and interesting! I’m definitely going to go read her series as soon as I can.

This was everything I have come to expect from Melinda Leigh and now I have some pretty high expectations for Kendra Elliott!

I just love Nora and John

I took my time with this book. It was the last SJ Tilly book I had until I completely caught up on her backlist and I was dreading having nothing else to read.

I think Nora is probably one of my favorite of SJ’s FMCs. She isn’t the typical baddie I usually love but she is a baddie none the less.
Nora is used to blending in and feeling invisible. She doesn’t feel brave or bold, until she consciously decided to change that and jumps right in with a spicy piercing. Each day she chooses to do something she wouldn’t usually do and I just loved that bravery. And in the end she absolutely was a baddie.

I love how quickly sweet Nora turned strait laced FBI agent John into an obsessed stalker. Using FBI resources to keep tabs on her and showing up to crash her date with someone else. He became more than a little unhinged and I loved it! I didn’t love what a block head he was for a second but I did love that Nora wasn’t a pushover.

I can’t wait for the next book in this series. I already love Tye so much from the little we’ve seen of him.

When I pick up an SJ Tilly book I know I’m in for a good time. And this book was no exception!

I loved Beth, Angelo and Noah so much. I love a good single parent books and enjoyed this twist where Beth became guardian to a teenage nephew she didn’t even know she had.

I loved Angelo. The way he protected and cared for Beth and bonded with Noah had my heart melting.

Where this book did lose a star for me was the completely preventable third act breakup. I still really enjoyed the book overall and I do feel like he groveled appropriately. But I was pretty annoyed in the moment.

I do love this series and I can’t wait to dive into John’s book.

This book was such a fun escape. I’m such a sucker for a grumpy billionaire and the she falls first, he falls harder trope. Add in the fact that he’s a single dad with an adorable little girl and I know I’m going to have a great time.

I loved that Sasha wasn’t a pushover. When Vincent was a jerk she wasn’t just going to accept a lame apology. She made him work for her forgiveness.

I flew through this audiobook. Aiden Snow and Michelle Sparks did such a wonderful job narrating.

I love this series so much! I think this was my third time reading it, it was definitely my second time listening to it and I still love it so much!

Beatrix always writes such amazing characters and puts them in bonkers situations leading to so much mayhem and fun.

If you like paranormal, why choose romance with totally unhinged but worthy characters then this is the book for you!

I love Ava and the guys. Each character had such a distinct and strong personality. Sometimes in these why choose romances the guys all blend together. That certainly wasn’t the case here! I loved each is them for different reason. However this series began my obsession with mothman so I’m pretty partial to him. Because he can’t communicate easily with the others his internal dialogue is so unhinged and I love it so much!

The narrator’s did a fantastic job! Michelle Price, Greg Salinas, and Jay Alder were all amazing and brought so much to these larger than life characters.
