Had it's ups and downs

I had a hard time getting all the way into it. The story followed a pretty typical plot for a post-apocalyptic survival book. Some areas were long and drawn out while others seemed to be rushed, no one makes friends and trusts them that fast. There was also the problem that others have mentioned about it being written like a survival manual and not a novel, it's not important to the story that he was able to pick up (not in the story but can't remember the specifics) 3- 25 pound bags of rice, 4- packs of Duracell AA batteries and 3- 20 round boxes of NATO 5.56 mm green tip ammunition. 3 bags of rice, a few boxes of batteries, and some ammo for the AR15 would have given me the same mental image. Another issue was listing off the name of the gun he used every time the characters touched one, I started glazing over every time they went into it. Not a bad listen but there's room for improvement.

Main character is spunky and she had one hell of a weekend. Loved the story and the narrator did an amazing job, one hell of a great combination!
