Historia
Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision.

A must read for mental health and depression
Revisado: 03-18-25
I had a difficult time with the beginning of this book, but it didn't take long until I could completely relate to main character. It was thought provoking and made me want to start reading some philosopher books/stories.
I did listen to this book on Audible and found the narrator easy to understand and enjoyed listening to.

The story of friendship and love.
Revisado: 03-15-25
I loved this as a movie I saw when I was a child. I always wanted to read the book and it only took me around 50 years to do it.
I loved this story and would hope that my grandchildren will love it as much as I do.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!
Revisado: 03-15-25
This book gave a whole different perspective on Sherlock Holmes, although I didn't really grasp this until chapter eleven. I don't want to give away any spoilers for anyone interested in reading this book, but if you like mystery, intrigue and a good old plot twist I highly recommend you read this book. I did, however, listened to the Audible version of this book and I loved the narrator as well.

Historia
At 22, Cheryl Strayed thought she had lost everything. In the wake of her mother's death, her family scattered and her own marriage was soon destroyed. Four years later, with nothing more to lose, she made the most impulsive decision of her life: to hike the Pacific Crest Trail from the Mojave Desert through California and Oregon to Washington State - and to do it alone. She had no experience as a long-distance hiker, and the trail was little more than “an idea, vague and outlandish and full of promise.” But it was a promise of piecing back together a life that had come undone.

Second times the charm
Revisado: 03-13-25
I purchased the book because of an episode of "Gilmore Girls". I had a hard time getting into this book, but when I did, I went back to the beginning and listened to it again. I read/listen to a lot of romance books and not a lot of true-life stories. After the second time listening to the book, I found that I did enjoy the story and would recommend it to anyone else.

Would have been better seen live
Revisado: 03-13-25
Listening to this story was a little difficult at times as I wasn't always sure when a scene was referencing a memory or happening in the present. The actors, however, were wonderful and I would have loved to have seen them perform this live. I will admit that I did cry at the end of the story, even though the title foretells the outcome.

A completely different tone
Revisado: 02-21-24
I don't like an unamed city. In all the other books I could imagine the scene better because I've been to or at least near those places. Those seemed more real whereas this one seemed more like a ghost writer and not like a Lee Child story.
I miss Dick Hill's voice doing the narration, but I'm getting used to Scott Brick.

This book is not on the same level as the rest of the Jack Reacher novels.
Revisado: 02-20-24
I really miss Dick Hill’s voice as Jack Reacher. But, this story was different than all the other Jack Reacher stories. There was very little military references and the story reminded me of a Steven King or Dean Koontz novel. The first 20 books had me feeling Jack was a real person and the books were almost nonfiction. This book has started my feeling that Jack is truly fiction and almost headed to fantasy. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the stories but the tone has changed.
