I feel cheated with the cliff hanger.

This is one of my favorite writers from her earlier days; however, she’s been writing cliff hangers and I feel cheated. When I read a book I need closure. I don’t have a problem with sequels if the main part of the story wraps up properly. This was a bummer ending . I rated it a 3 based on her previous books and I can’t give one if my favorites less.

It was a regular New Jerusalem Gospel United Church work day for Reverend Denzelle Flowers when Veronica Washington, Keisha Jackson, and Marsha Metcalf showed up after losing their jobs on the same day, same morning, and almost at the same time. Denzelle struggled to solve that first problem. The other problem - the lovely Marsha - would be much harder to solve.

Didn’t care for the story line!

Too many characters in the book and the Storyline was boring. This seems like something written back in the 20th century . The main characters were boring as well, I don’t know how I got through it. I only choose to listen because my favorite narrator #kevinfree always seems to deliver. This was a stretch for him. Still love the narrator but didn’t like the book.

I love the audiobook. I Listen while I work, drive, clean, and as I wait outside for kids activities, and practice to end. No time to read .
What other book might you compare White Lines to and why?
Natrural Born Hustler same urban feel.
What does Allyson Johnson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The closest thing to a movie. It made me laugh with all the different voices.
